trip to the derma

my mom has been bugging me to go with her to the dermatologist this saturday as she has ran out of anti wrinkle cream already. yeah, i guess it's about time to get a facial too. i have not had one for months. the last time i had one was close to a year ago. it's just that i don't like going to the dermatologist on weekends because of the long waiting period. i guess i just have to convince my mom that we go on monday instead. hopefully she agrees with me.

06.06.08

yesterday was a busy day. i was on leave from work but i still had to wake up early to make sure everyone was working. i also had to deal with smart bro, one of our staff members internet provider. i am super thankful they are not my internet provider because the service they provide is really bad.

10am my sister and i went to the salon to have our nails done. by 11am we went to a different salon for our hair and make-up. cousin T was getting married at 4pm and i was one of the bridesmaids and my sister was a secondary sponsor.

we left the salon before 3pm so we just had time to change and then off we went to Archbishop's palace for the wedding ceremony. yup, no lunch and we didn't even have a chance to drink water. the ceremony was short but really nice. i liked the priest's homily because it was very simple but sweet. a lot of funny moments during the ceremony also but i think that made the ceremony even more nice.

reception was at wack-wack golf and country club. no formal program but super fun still. my cousin had to change outfits too during the ceremony and her second gown was really nice.

congratulations, T and G!

this has got to stop

i have not really bought anything but my online window shopping has to stop because i think i will end up buying something soon. best buy deals are just so tempting. no wonder the company's tagline is "one can always find a best buy at www.buy.com". i promise myself no online shopping for me though. i have to save money and i do hope i can resist shopping.

psp-ing

during my cousins wedding. migsy and briann were busy playing psp and i was busy bugging them. teehee. both kids are ps addicts! during the reception, the two kids were busy with the psp. here are more pictures to prove that...
briann patiently waiting for his turn

what's with the psp?

real living

it was a busy day yesterday so this morning was just spent watching movies, catching on sleep and reading. i was going over a home magazine and i saw a room with wood blinds. it was so nice and classy. i want to get this for our room. i showed it to my mom and she agrees with me that they are really nice but she says if we also have to change our windows if we change to wood blinds. that's too much work and i don't like to home renovations. so we are sticking with our current blinds and curtains for now.

viva las vegas

when my parents went to the states to visit my sister, one of the most memorable for them was a trip to las vegas. one because it was a trip they took with my mom's brother, second because my dad won $$$ on the slot machine (he actually thought he won a car) and third because of the beautiful las vegas hotels they visited. i want to go to vegas...ok macau would do for now.

vacation

i am going on a short vacation in a few weeks. it is something have long looked forward too. after this vacation, im off to do more serious things. meaning no vacations for a long time and would just have to concentrate on studying. AGAIN! good i was able to book cheap flights. i love good deals and it was perfect as it fit my budget perfectly too. can't wait!

May 29, 2008

ohhh....

i really want. i am such a havaianas lover and the 2008 flash style is super nice.

it's not yet avalable here so i'll have to buy it in the states. i won't buy it just yet but if i don't get to sleep tonight, i will tomorrow. teehee!

most wonderful time of the year

i am not talking about Christmas here. for shopaholics the most wonderful time of the year is blackfriday. this is one time you could score super great deals. a lot of people prepare for this day and are even willing to line up at stores at as early as 5am just to be able to buy the really good items. it could get really tiring though especially since it's the day after thanksgiving. but being tired and having no sleep won't stop a true blue shopaholic from trooping to the mall.

i am planning my blackfriday way too early, i know that. but planning early won't hurt. i have subscribed to -www.black-friday.net- already so i can get circulars of blackfriday ads earlier than everybody else. this will give me time to decide on what i need to buy and make sure i can get real great discount. what's super great is i can buy the items online and yet get the same discount. no lining up and waiting. i can do the shopping from the comforts of my own home. i plan one buying christmas gifts for family online this year so this is a really good opportunity for christmas shopping. i only have five months left to save before that most wonderful time of the year aside from Christmas.

it's going to be a long rainy thursday morning.

friday night out

went out last night for coffee and then dinner with A. we were suppose to go out as a group but the other's couldn't make it for some reason and A didn't want to driver far so we just went somewhere near. we had a good time talking and just spending time together. even if it was just the two of us, it was fun. we talked about things to come, what to do in the coming months and years, the patio furnitures her mom bought, her newly renovated bedroom , and a lot more other things. what a great way to start the weekend!
wow! if you are a grey's anatomy fan, this season finale is a MUST SEE!

season finale's

just finished watching season finale of gossip girl and i was disappointed. i expected something more and something that would make me excited to watch next season. but it didn't. im excited to watch grey's season finale. my sister (in the US) told me that it was really nice. i spent the entire evening downloading it. i have my chips ready but i will have to watch it after i finish my assignments and checking the life insurance quote my insurance agent sent me. my mom has been bugging me to upgrade my life insurance but i have been thinking of doing so or just getting another one. i will have to go through the quotation first and hopefully it's within my budget. be back later with grey's story.

May 21, 2008

uh-oh

i don't think i'll be able to concentrate on doing anything work related this morning as i will be watching american idol finale. like what i said on my earlier post, i want archie to win BUT a prediction from dialidol declares cooky as the winner. im super excited already! show starts in 30 minutes.

May 18, 2008

sana june na. yun lang. have a great week ahead to all!

you tube video

i was going through video's on youtube and i found a raw video of howie mandell's ad for buy.com. it it was funny and really cool. how i wish i was that person he interviewed and i would have received a free xbox360. it was a nice way of marketing a website and it is very effective too. the only downside is it was a NO KEYWORD COMMENT ON YOUTUBE VIDEO. oh, but i had fun watching it.

Summer is Back

i knew that the summer heat was to make a comeback. it was good while it lasted though. i thought it was to last for a few more days but i guess i will have to just endure the heat of the season for a few more weeks. i really have to tell my dad to call the aircon technician to work on the air conditioning compressor of the aircon i use in my work area. it needs to be replaced and my dad was suppose to have it done last thursday but since the weather was really nice i told him he could have it done by monday (which is tomorrow). hopefully, it won't be too hot tomorrow as it the aircon repair might actually take the whole day.

watches

i am a self confessed watch person. i can't leave the house not wearing one. if in case i do i will still end up checking the time and would yeah, look so stupid. i don't own any of those super expensive watches and i don't think i'll ever invest in one even if i had the money to do so. if a kind heart would give me an ebel watch, of course i would gladly accept. who am i to refuse such a gift? i think a to give a watch as a gift is really reasonable. who would not want to use a watch? time is important and you don't want to always run late and that makes a watch important too. i was browsing through the website but just looking though. i saw a lot of quality watch pieces that i would surely wear. the website in the time piece guide gives one a wide selection of watch pieces and carefully describes each piece. that's why i like buying things online. you get to research about the item. especially with having to buy not so cheap items, that is really important as you want to make sure you buying something you really like. you don't want to end up regretting a purchase you made.

love the weather

i love it that it has been raining the whole day. i love it that i didn't have to turn the a/c this afternoon. i love the cool breeze of air outside. i do hope that summer has ended this early but that is wishful thinking. i know that the scorching heat of the sun is set to make a great comeback this week.

charice on oprah

charice is no doubt a good singer and if she is handled/managed by the right people could really make a name for herself in the states. thank God for you tube i was able to watch her guesting in oprah that was shown today (may 12 in the US). she sang “i who have nothing” and she was really good. i just hope she had done better during the interview. im posting a video of her “blow away moment” performance without the interview.

weekend

belated happy mother's day greetings to all the mommy's!

saturday was spent at home doing nothing. teehee.

for mother's day, we went out for lunch. trinoma was packed and since we didn't have reservations we had to go there early. when we got there, we immediately checked on where we could eat. after about 20 mins of going around, my mom decide she just wanted to eat at abe's. when we went there we had to wait to be seated and the wait is for close to an hour. good thing good earth had seats available so we just had our mother's day lunch there. food was ok. after lunch we went to the grocery and dad bought CAT6 bulk cables before we headed home.

was a really quiet weekend as usual. now, back to work!

~happy weekend!

friday love

~i love friday's for the reason that later in the afternoon i could already download the new episode of grey's anatomy. teehee! what would life be without torrent?

~we watched basketball (pba) last week and my uncle is inviting us to watch again later. im not sure of who is playing so i'm still pretty much undecided if i will go or not.

~bought something i really wanted online to be shipped within the week. it's nothing expensive but super cute. once i get it i'ld take pictures of it and share it with everyone. happy!

no more soda...for now.

i woke up with a very bad stomach ache. since i am a registered nurse, my mind was flooded with different ideas of what was wrong. i don't like being a patient. the pain was super bad that the first thing i thought of is that i will not drink soda (coke zero/light) for one week. i drank water the whole day. not a lot but this is the most i have drank in months. after dinner, i asked my dad to drive me to the grocery so i could buy juice. i bought pineapple juice and C2. i don't think i can just drink water and i think drinking juice is not as bad as drinking soda. im feeling better now, im glad i am. this is going to be the long week. if i survive this week, maybe i could really do without soda.

May 7, 2008

not without prescriptions

to all those drinking diet pills especially Phentermine without prescription, i do suggest you take extra precaution or better yet consult your doctor. you don't want to be losing weight but end up sick or sickly. drinking diet pills helps a lot in weight loss but one must make sure that they consult a physician before doing so. better yet, just stick to exercise and diet.

May 6, 2008

blue lotus

my mom brought home a bottle of blue lotus oil. The oil has an extremely rich scent and is completely organic. It comes from a single pond on a small farm in Nepal. It is said to "produce a feeling of joy that permeates the whole body, emanating from every cell that is delightfully wonderful and lasts for some time". It was given by one of her good friends from work. She is thinking of going for a massage this weekend and is looking forward to have them use the oil. She was asking me if i wanted to go, but no. im not used to getting a massage. i wonder if it will work. i will test it, when my mom gets home from the massage this weekend. maybe i can ask her to buy me new shoes, if she says yes it means she is in a good mood. meaning that oil surely works!

charice on oprah plus deal or no deal

i'm looking forward to watching charice's guesting on oprah. i heard it would show next week. i watched her interview on the buzz last sunday and she said oprah was close to crying after hearing her sing. she is a talented girl but sometimes i wish she sings other song's other than i will always love you. im so sick of hearing her sing that song and the other one from the movie dreamgirls.

another thing i'm looking forward too is the deal or no deal world tour:Philippines which howie mandell hosted with kris aquino. it was shown last night in the US but i'm not sure when they will show it here in the philippines. maybe i can download from torrent. yeah, maybe i should.

just one more

sorry for having to flood my blog with posts tonight. i have to finish a few things for work tomorrow and i want my online tasks to be done tonight. it's not everyday i get tasks (i wonder where the tasks have gone), so i want to make sure i don't put them to waste. i need tasks and it's great that i still get to grab a few every now and then.

paintball

my cousins are into paintball. this is something that i have yet to try and we previously plan on doing this as a family bonding activity. my cousin, mayo is really good and in fact competes abroad. they play every weekend with other cousins and his wife and daughter also compete for the women's philippine team. they have been to malaysia, singapore and other asian countries.
He has been using a invert mini paintball gun. He had his bought in the states when his sister went there recently. He says it's the best paintball gun in the market. i never thought it was expensive but since it is something he uses to compete he says it is worth every centavo.

more about me

a long overdue tag by JenR

I AM… happy.

I WANT… to go on a vacation.

I HAVE… a lot of things to do tomorrow.

I WISH… i could be elsewhere.

I HATE… the heat

I FEAR… like jen, not to have children in the future.

I SEARCH… for a nice pair of shoes.

I WONDER… what to do with my hair for tetet's wedding.

I REGRET… nothing.

I LOVE… everyone....yeah, right!

I ALWAYS… drink coke zero.

I AM NOT… fond of drinking water.

I AM CONFUSED… as to what to do in terms of my career.

I NEED… more tasks!

I SHOULD… lose weight.

THE LAST THOUGHT I GO TO SLEEP WITH IS… thanking God for all His blessings and for another day that has passed and for the night's rest.

Snag if you wish!

what to do?

I usually have my make up done by my Aunt but since it is her daughter who is to get married next month, I will have to look for a salon where I could have my make-up done for the wedding. Other than that, I don't know what to do with my hair. I want curls again (love curls!) but is also thinking of having my hair up for a change. my gown is patterned from a gown calista flockhart wore in the recent emmy awards. color of the gown though is in chocolate brown with orange accent.

so, do i have to put my hair up or just go with curls again?

bummer

why is it that when i plan on going on a diet i end up eating more. for lunch, i feasted on sizzling gambas, grilled chicken, and chocolate cake. i didn't eat much for dinner but i have been drinking a lot of coke zero. i think i can finish the 1.5L in a day. can't blame me. the heat is untolerable and and i end up drinking often. uhmm...i don't drink water so soda it is. teehee. bad!

baguio

It was only now that I realized that I have not really posted anything about our Holy Week trip to Baguio. The trip was super fun as my mom's sisters in Bacolod went to Manila for that Baguio trip.
hotel elizabeth
tuano siblings
waiting for food at OMGulay
at mine's view park

We stayed at Elizabeth Hotel for this trip. A really nice hotel. We went to the usual tourist spots in Baguio as it was a first time in Baguio for one of my Aunt's. We also made sure to go back to Oh My Gulay, a restaurant we discovered last year. If you go to Baguio, I recommend you go to OMG for either lunch or dinner. It's along session road and the food is really good.

It was a 3 days, 2 nights trip but it was a great bonding time for the family. Short but sweet. More pictures are posted on my multiply account but can only be viewed by my contacts. Send me an invite and if i know you, i'll surely accept your invitation :)

on wedding preps

Not me! Im not getting married but as I have mentioned on my previous post, my cousin is and she is now super busy with the preparations. Other than being busy with preparing for her wedding she is also 5 months pregnant. With everything she has to do, she is lucky she was able to book a supplier for bulk flowers she'll need for the wedding. All the flowers to be used in decorating the church, the ballroom for the reception and the bouquets will be from this supplier. She was lucky to book the supplier as everything is to be taken cared off. She just met up with the supplier to discuss what she needs and wants. At least one item off her list.

LSS:i'm yours

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
And now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love
Listen to the music of the moment maybe sing with me
I like peaceful melodys
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love love

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment come and dance with me
I like one big family (2nd time: I like happy family)
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love love love

I won't hesitate no more
Oh no more no more no more
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved, I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

No I won't hesitate no more, no more
This cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours, I'm yours

George talking to Izzie

“you know whenever anyone says something really funny, i laugh and i always look around to see if you think it’s funny too. even if you are not there, i still look around”.

awww…isn’t that sweet!

super happy that my favorite tv show is back. it has been for the past two weeks, with other shows like gossip girl. after a few months of not using torrent, i am back to downloading my favorite tv series. mcdreamy is so cute. can't wait to watch his new movie made of honor.

lasik

i had my Lasik done in 2002. i never liked wearing contacts or eyeglasses so lasik was the perfect solution to my very bad eye sight. it was great to be able to see clearly again without eyeglasses. i felt really happy i didn't have to go through the process of wearing contacts. the procedure was fast and in one day i was good already. i'm sure glad i decided on it.

online friends

i have met a lot of friends through the blogging community. in the process of reading their blogs, i do not only get to know them more but i also get to learn a lot from them. for the past 4 years that i have been blogging, it has been fun especially during the past year (blogger friends, you know what i mean here).

blogging is only one of the many ways where one could meet new friends. a good friend in highschool has been a member of the 3gb community for quite some time now and it was through here that she met his husband. they have been married now for more than a year and all good as she said. apart from the chance of meeting a life time partner http://www.3gb.biz is also an avenue to meet new friends, old friends, upload your photos albums, join groups, blogs chat with other members, and hear the latest mp3 hits.

for the fun of it, i tried looking for a childhood friend through the website and luckily i found her. she is now lives in the province with her parents. through the website i was reunited with a friend i have not seen nor heard from in years. it was so good to be catching up with her and to be able to know she is doing really well. we agreed we should see each other soon. either i visit her province or she comes to manila. now let me try to search for a church mate we have not seen.

brian girrard

my favorite kid in town (currently)...
brian at 2 or 3 years old
brian playing the guitar
brian now at four...super cute congressman! teehee.

wii or/and ps3

this was a discussion i had with my cousin the other day. he bought a wii 2 months ago and just the other day he was telling me he wanted to buy a PS3 also. i asked if he was to sell his wii but he said he won't. i asked then on why he was going to buy a PS3 since he had a wii already. and he answered "because". i told him to just be satisfied with his wii (since i like it too) and don't buy a PS3 anymore. he said he can't sleep anymore for the past week but he'll think about it. this morning i saw him and asked him if he has decided on what to do. he had a smile on his face and told me he bought a PS3 already yesterday. if girls are in to bags and shoes, boys are into wii or/and PS3.

what to do...

i have been thinking of upgrading the laptop memory instead of buying a new one. it's cheaper that way i think and the laptop i currently have is not really that old yet. oh, well. i don't really know what to do. i want to be reasonable and i don't want to just buy a laptop since the one i have is something that i could still use. what am i to do also with the laptop i have now if i do decide to but a new one. i can't sell it since it was given by my dad. sheesh!

greys 4x12

now downloading the new episode of grey's anatomy. eeek! excited!

friday

suppose to be a happy day because it's the last working day of the week. but it has not been. i woke up this morning not feeling well. major headache and a slight fever. but i had to get out of bed and make sure everybody (remote staff) is to login for work. i thought it was going to be an easy day but since this morning i have already received 9 emails from my boss of things he wants me to do and supervise. i had no choice but to drink medicine because i will have to work. feeling much better right now and hoping that after i finish what i have to do by 1PM.

i need a glass of coke zero!

no!

carly was today voted out of american idol.

syesha should have gone home. all the girls are going...my top three are the 2 david's and jason. the two other girls are to gome home in the next 2 weeks. they should.

best friends in school

my best friends in nursing school were my nurses pocket guide and my drug guide. i don't know how i would have survived clinical rotations with out this best friends of mine. it helped me through doing my case studies and my nursing care plans. life without them would have been a total disaster. i remember going through my drug guide even during past time. i think every household should have a drug guide. it's important to know more information regarding the medicine we drink even if it was prescribed by your doctor. it's a must to know what the medicine's possible side effect. reading a drug guide doesn't make one nerd. it makes one informed.

love the new episode of gossip girl. for this weeks episode though i hated jenny and i pity blair. i can't wait for B to get back on those girls. that is something to watch out for. I'm wondering though on who is messing up with S. i'm so glad it's back and i can't wait for next weeks episode.

and tonight, Grey's anatomy is back! LOVE IT!

The Men Hunt Tag

was tagged by jody and jane.

1. Patrick Dempsey aka McDreamy - one of the reasons i watch grey's anatomy.
2. Rovilson Fernandez - i know most of the girls like marc nelson, but for me it was rovilson who caught my fancy. i found him really funny and such a cutiepie. i don't care they lost the race because of him. teehee.

stag party

with my cousin getting married and with us (the girls) preparing the bridal shower, our male cousins are all preparing for the groom's stag party. i told my cousins we want to attend their stag party. he says they will let us attend if they get to attend ours too. he said they promise to make our bridal party exciting and funny as they are thinking of arriving in sexy costumes. turns out the stag party they are preparing is to gate crash our bridal party. ending, we have one party for the bride and the groom. this is going to be super fun!

i hate it

i hate it that i am sick again. i was just sick with cough and flu last month! it must be the weather, nothing else to blame but the weather. for the past 2 days my throat hurts like hell. i had a hard time sleeping last night because of my stuffy nose. add a major headache to that. was in bed by 10PM but got to sleep past 1 in the morning.

i don't want to do this but i will....WISH FOR SUMMER TO END. used to love summer but not anymore. it gets hotter and hotter every year. bring in the snow! oppps...no snow pala for the philippines. teehee.

drink lot's of water everyone and vitamins (i don't kasi) for you guys not to get sick like me.

web hosting

we need to put another website for our company and i am now reading Web Hosting Reviews, Web Hosting Guide to help me decide on who is to host our new website. the 3 websites we currently have, 2 of which are for our clients are all being hosted by one company. we are happy with them but we just want to explore the market and see what else our options are. i have received a lot of proposals but with like all the other things i buy and subscribe in, i am so used to reading reviews and guides to help me decide. i like and enjoy reading what other people have to say. it is very helpful especially since they have first hand experience. just reading through the companies website or proposal submitted always would just try to impress the consumer. reading through reviews or guides gives you a better idea of the service and the after sales service they provide which is very important for me.

Apr 18, 2008

this is going to be a really long weekend for me. happy weekend all!

gps tracking

my friend who is in the trucking business is thinking of investing on a gps tracking system to make monitoring easier for him. in the past months, he has been having problems with his drivers and have been encountering a lot of delays. he has been receiving a lot of complaints also from his clients of late delivery. with the gps system, he'll be able to trace where his trucks and drivers are. it is going to be a very expensive investment but will be worth it in the end. technology really makes a big difference in the world of business.

budgeting

Since we don't really have an accountant working with us we 100% rely on a budget software to keep us on track with our daily operating expenses. The software is easy to use and since i do have accounting background, i am able to do this without a problem. This is outside my scope of work already but since it does not really take up much of my time i don't have any problems of doing this. We do see a need to hire an accountant once we open our office here in the Philippines, but we have decided that we are still to use the same software. That's how effective it has been for us.

sassy is 30

i remember summer vacations in victorias had been fun because of you. we would always fight when we were kids but that was of course because batang isip pa tayo. i remember nagsusulatan pa tayo dati. teehee. that was super cool! we turned out to be really close especially during the years you were living with us here in manila. you were more than a cousin, you were a friend and a sister. with mimi and bheng, we have shared a lot of unforgetable memories. our midnight trips to malate, our videoke sessions, our jogging sessions, atbp. when you left for dumaguete, i lost my partner in crime.

thank you for all the times you have been there for me. thank you for always making me laugh at times when i don't feel good. thank your for your encouragement and for being a great cousin.

you know that you are missed here in manila and your last visit was super short but i was glad we got to spend some time. you better come back soon though.

enjoy your being 30 and tell us (mica and me) all about it as we are soon to follow. and don't worry cuz, even if you turn 30 today, you don't look your age at all. like what you said you are 30 but isip 3. happy birhthday cuz!

bongo board

when one of the cousins told me she bought us a bongo board i thought it was a game board. but it is not. Bongo Board Balance Board is the hottest balance board on the market today. it is a great fitness workout that is fun and challenging. it develops balance and coordination skills essential to almost all sports and activities by toning core muscles used to maintain balance and stability. the Bongo Board teaches each user the proper distribution of body weight to achieve a consistent equilibrium balance which doesn't hurt for sports performance either. i tried it and it was really cool. it was difficult to use at first but once you find your body balance, you'll get the hang of it.
i wish the summer would end. usually love the summer months but it has gotten so hot the last few years. i don't remember the weather being this bad before. the afternoon's are totally not bearable without the a/c on. i hate going out of the house (im lucky i work at home) as it is too hot. even if it rained a few days ago and it was just one day of rest from the scorching heat of the sun. right now, i just really want summer to end.

it's about time

i have wanted her voted out even before ramiel but it seemed she had a good following in the US. finally though, america decided to send kristy lee home.
next week, i hope syesha goes home. that' leaves brooke, carly, david a, david c and jason on the top 5. can't wait to see on what happens next.

fyi

you might want to inform friends or family who are taking or have taken Trasylol (Also known under the name of Aprotinin) which is a drug used to reduce blood loss and the need for blood transfusion in patients undergoing heart surgeries of the danger it might bring to their bodies. recent studies have shown that it can cause amongst other damage to the liver. Trasylol claim attorneys are now working closely with patients who might have taken this drug. Those patients are entitled to a compensation and could actually file for a law suit too. It is important that we are aware of our legal rights. To avoid such a hassle, if you or any loved ones are to undergo a heart surgery, you might want to make sure that this medicine is not prescribed by your physicians.

i smell like fresh laundry

i have been using gap so pink for the longest time. i first discovered it when one morning a good friend and client went to the office and she smelled so good. i asked her what her perfume was and she introduced me to gap so pink. it has been 4 years and it's still the same perfume i use. well, i do use colognes but for perfumes it has always been so pink.
the other day though, we went to duty free as my mom wanted to buy perfume and i ended up with a bottle of clean perfume fresh laundry. love the scent! it's way cheaper at duty free too compared to rustans. will get the orginal scent soon.

it's back

something i look forward to is the return of grey's anatomy with all new episodes. it's about time! i'm excited with what is to happen with meredith and derek especially since mcdreamy is to dating a nurse. 8 more days and i get to watch my favorite tv series again.
oh, and new episode of gossip girl on the 21st. woohoo!

auto recycling

my uncle's old car was sent to midwest auto recycling. he had bought a new car and since he had no use for his old one he had decided to send it there. he is doing so because when he first got to the US with no money and he needed a car, this was where he bought his car. it was a car that helped him go around, helped him find a job and helped him settle in the US. it was not his dream car but it was a useful one. he is very sentimental that is why even if he didn't want to part with this car since it is taking up space in his garage he just decided to send it back to the auto recycling as someone else might find a use for it.

asus eee pc

ordered for one through my mom more than a month ago. we ordered it with my sisters laptop. when my sister got her laptop, i was told that they didn't have the color i wanted ( which was pink) and that if i wanted to get my unit asap i could just order for a white or a black one. i ended up ordering the white one with the hope of getting it the next day. i didn't though. they said no white unit was available either (major bad trip) and that i would have to wait a week. i have been waiting for more than 2 weeks now. no asus still. if i don't get the my laptop this week im definitely cancelling my order and will just buy the 8 gig asus in the US.

things to do today

1. call national bank about credit card applications merchant facilities.
2. continue sending out emails to prospective clients.
3. call pauline of jobstreet regarding getting/buying more job ads despite new company policy of no ads for home based jobs.
4. hire an SEO (you guys might know someone).
5. prescreen applicants for marketing assistant.
6. get in touch with a lawyer to do contracts.
7. call client doctor's secretary to check if i can start training in their hospital.
8. process documents required for nursing work stuff.
9. check with cousin on gown measurements for her wedding.
10. breathe

argh! this is going to be another long day. just looking on my list to do makes me tired already. i have been infront of my computer for over an hour now and all i managed to do was to make this list and send a few emails. i need to get my groove back. no more procastinating.

yoga

to exercise is important. the sad part is i have not gone boxing in months. i have been staying home because of work that means i get zero exercise. not even a chance to walk from one building to another. i sit infront of my computer and use the phone for calls i have to make. that basically sums up my day. good thing i got a gift last week, a gift i really needed and a served as a sign that i better exercise. i got a yoga dvd that i have yet to watch and use. i promised myself i will this weekend. i have to start exercising. i really do.

wedding shower

I am excited for a cousins wedding but we all know that before the big day is the wedding shower. we are now be busy preparing for that. we have thought of a spa themed shower for her. we hope to finish everything by middle of next month. the venue, the guestlist and the program. we are lucky because we found really nice party invitations online that we will be ordering for the shower ( to be hand carried by her bestfriend) and hopefully we get the invites in time so we can give it out at least two weeks before the event. Just looking at the invites makes me super excited already.

vacation

It's summer time and I know that a lot of us are itching to get out of the city for a vacation. Some are headed to boracay while the others are going to baguio to escape the scorching heat of the sun. When I went to boracay during the holy week it was really cold and it was nice. You might want to try and see St. Thomas villa rentals for this summer season for a change. Enjoy the sun and the summer season, everyone!

Bitten by the Bug

Not me, you blog friends of mine but a cousin.

Nikki, Peachy and Jane are on the family way but my family are also excited and waiting for the arrival of a new family member. Cousin T, is on her 4th month of pregnancy already and we all can't wait for the arrival of Baby B. Babies always bring joy and excitement to a family. The last baby in the family is Julia, and she is over a year old now so the arrival of Baby B in a few more months is something that really excites everyone. Dami talaga babies this year because i know a few more people who are pregnant.

Cousin T is celebrating her birthday today and i only pray that she have a safe pregnancy and delivery. This year is bringing in good things. 2008 is a really good year. Happy birthday cuz and see you later!

VOIP

I work from home for an Australian company engaged in events and remote staffing. Our business is able to survive simply because of the VoIP Phone Systems. This is the main tool that we use for communication and one could only imagine the money we are saving because of this. All of our employees are given one after being hired so that they could call Australia at any time and our clients in Australia could also get in touch with them at any time. What makes this system so good is it's not difficult to use. Anyone who can read an instruction guide could set it up. It does wonders for us and we could only thank technology for bring such a system to life because it what keeps our company going and growing.

girls night out

It all started with a text message that Arlet wanted to meet up. I had nothing planned so I agreed. I then asked her to go online so we could tell Ate Emma and we agreed to have dinner in Tomas Morato. So, I picked up Ate Emma from her house then we met Arlet at chilis. Had a wonderful dinner with lots of stories. We even planned of going to Macau this April.

After dinner we went to Bonifactio High. We took some more pictures and then bumped into a well-known public figure. We immediately thought of having our pictures taken but we felt "dyahe". Then we saw people going up to her to have pictures taken. So, i ended up approaching her and asking her if we could have our pictures taken also. She was so nice. Very down to earth.

And here are few more pictures we took...

Till next time, girl friends! Hmm...let's see if the trip to Macau would push-through.

woohoo!

i have so many things to blog about. our trip to baguio, our easter sunday, good things happening, relatives trip to manila, and work. i have been itching to blog since last week and now that i have finally regained access to my blog i can't seem to blog about it. hopefully within the day or the next few days i'ld be able to do so already. for now have a great week my friends--April na!. will blog hop later today.

on sale

my parents are planning to sell a property we own but is thinking if we should sell it through a broker or just have it advertised on land for sale. i say we have it advertised online as it will surely attract more buyers and it's going to be cheaper that way since we don't have to give broker a commission. selling stuff online has been convenient and a lot of people go online every time they would have to buy something. i told the parents to just try posting the ad online and then we will see on what responses we get. if it doesn't work for us, then maybe we could consider getting a broker.

faucet

the faucet in the bathroom at the master's bedroom was changed over the weekend. i never thought a faucet could make a big difference on how a bathroom would look like. it is really nice. it has not been changed for years and my mom thought she wanted new faucets so she had it changed. the thing is, she now wants to have the bathroom remodeled. oh, no!

cover letters

with the interviews i have been doing for the magazine staff i need to employ, i have been coming across a lot of cover letters. some are really good and have managed to catch my attention while most of them are just the ordinary cover letters. i would suggest though to those job hunting to make sure that your cover letters send out a really good impression. try to research and look online for ways to make an impressive cover letter. the cover letters speak alot about the applicant. it could also help for you getting the job.

im back!

soooo good to be back. i had problems with my login that's why i have not been able to blog. but all is well now and i have to do a few opps left that has not over the past week i have been gone. i missed my blog and i missed blogging.

Mar 16, 2008

my new favorite

this is what i had for my afternoon snack...

yummy! i better go to pricemart before thursday (they have this sa galleria grocery but much expensive by Php30.00) so i could bring some in baguio.

coin collection

over the weekend, for the first time i finally got to see my uncle's coin collection. he has been collecting coins for more than 10 years now and he has collected a lot and included in his collection are rare coins he was able to buy online. he deals online to trade some of his coins and he gets most of his online as well. he has a trader who does this for him. someone who is really knowledgeable when it comes to coins. he has spent a lot for his collection but i was told by one of his friends that the rare coins that are part of his collection are world class and if he decides to sell them, he would surely earn a lot.

Cumlaude

David Brian TuaƱo Valladolid, graduates from college on Tuesday with a degree in Avionics (mekaniko ng eroplano in short!) from Airlink College. He is not only graduating, he is CUMLAUDE! yeaboi! we are all so proud of you!

Borgy grew up with us and then when he was 7 years old he went back to Victorias to be with his family. He then came back to Manila for college. He is not my brother but he is my brother. gets? labo ko nanaman! My parents sent him to school and they are sooo happy with his achievement. Who wouldn't? He never gave my parents any major problem and he has been a good student. So for my parents, it was all worth it. And even if he was not cumlaude, the fact that he is finishing school already makes them happy already. I told my mom over lunch that she should get a new dress as she is to go up on stage during the graduation ceremony, teehee.

I know Manang Melo is very happy with this achievement of yours. How I wish she was with us to celebrate this happy milestone in your life but she has always watched over you and Bgurl. I'm sure she is very proud of you too. I'm getting senti already...this is a suppose to be a happy post.

anyhoo, we now have all the reasons to celebrate on Wednesday night. My passing the boards and borgy's graduation from college. It's party time!

Bulk, What?

As I was doing my online shoppping the other night, My dad was also bugging me to get him some bulk cable. Don't ask me what he is to do with it because I do not have any idea. He says he will need it to rewire the cable TV in the house. Well I got him his cables the other night and he will get it with the rest of the items I bought online to be brought by a relative coming home from the US.

The Patio

Every time my mom starts with renovations, she can't seem to stop. Now she wants minor changes in the patio area and want new outdoor furniture. We do need the furniture's but the patio just needs landscaping--i think. teehee. She is still undecided as to what to do but she has to decide soon because the people we can hire are only available until next week then they head off to a new project. Knowing my mom, She will only get to decide what to do after the carpenters are no longer available.

American Idol

Are you guys watching american idol? I'm happy because all my bets for this year made it to the top 12. Ramiele Malubay made it to the top 12 but she is up against really good singers too so I wish she makes it atleast to the top 5. My American Idol for this year though is David Archuleta he is really talented and cute. Yeah, he is my crush. teehee!

Direct Buy

When I saw this their ad in a magazine, I thought it was an online store. But it's not! directbuy is a members only showroom and home design center that offers merchandise at manufacturer-direct prices. DirectBuy charges membership dues to join, thereby enabling members to purchase merchandise at manufacturer prices without traditional retail mark-up. You really get good deals so the membership dues is worth it.

Setting Up the New Office

I got an email from my boss that it's all systems go for the magazine staff. That means I will be setting up an office here in Manila this month. By far, this is the biggest responsibility and project I will handle. To be honest, im scared and excited. I have one month to complete the project and I pray to pull it off. I have already talked with internet providers and I have told them that the Australia office is to provide us with a KVM switch. One provider has already provided a really good quotation for their service and I just have to submit the proposal to the Australia office. It's going to be a very busy march!

Home Sweet Home

I sometimes tend to think too much far ahead in the future and over analyze things. Last month I was worried sick if i was to pass the boards and what to do if just in case I don't. After receiving a really great gift of passing now my thoughts and worries are on what I am to do next. I am happy with the work that I have now but I know I have to practice my nursing profession. I have been weighing my options of where to work. I have been looking at the Branson real estate website because I want to be able to buy a property in 2 years. I sometimes wish life was as simple and as uncomplicated as a 1 year old kid.

New Clinic

Since we were already in Nueva Ecija this morning, we took time to visit another relative's new clinic. It's not actually a new clinic bec they just had it renovated. I was not able to take pictures though as I left my bag in the car. The newly renovated clinic is really nice and patient friendly. My uncle used a tv wall mount to get rid of the antique TV table they had before and to save some space. They might said we have to go back for the blessing of the clinic after Holy Week. That means another reunion party to look forward too.

Am I Chinese?

I have always been asked that question. I don't think I have "singkit" eyes because I even think I have big eyes. My sisters look more chinese than I do. That's because I look more like my dad. My mom's side of the family has chinese blood because they told us that the TuaƱo last name was suppose to be Tuan Yu. Then this morning, at the cemetery we were told that my greatgrandmother is a Lim. And that we are related to Mayor Lim of manila. I guess, I can now say I do have chinese blood ( I think everyone has, kahit 1%) and that I am Chinese. Ohhh...maybe that's why i like chinese food. labo!

pocket watch

One of my fondest memories of my Wowo was his pocket watch. He was the first person i met who owned one. As a kid, i even thought he purposely destroyed his wristwatch and placed a chain on it. But of course, that was not the case. My wowo always had it with him and i remember asking him where he got it but i never really got an answer. All he'ld do was smile and i was left to admire his watch. Now, I wonder where that watch is.

Drug Treatment

I saw a lot of relatives this morning that I have never seen and some I only met today. One of whom was my dad's cousin who just came back from the US. He was a problem child from stories I have gathered and spent sometime in a rehabilitation center here in the Philippines before migrating. God moves in mysterious ways though as the problem child now works with people who are going through a tough phase in their lives. He is now working for drug treatment centers as a counselor. He has been doing so for 5 years now and the experiences he has gone through is helping other people move on. It's really great to see on how God works in our lives and how He uses each and every one of us to bless other people as well.
