Random Stuff

* Summer is here. It has been hot the past few days. Hot like Manila.

*Elijah is growing up soooo fast. I was told by a lot of people that babies grow up so fast but I never thought it was going to be this fast. Everyday that I look at him he seems to be different. Chunkier legs, new tricks, more talkative and the list goes on.

*Gymboree has been fun for both of us but mostly for Elijah. He always has fun just being able to crawl around and not hearing me tell him "not there", lol. Sadly, he hates it when it's time to play soccer with the other babies. I hope he would soon overcome that.

*We had a fun vacation last week. Fun but short! Can't wait for next month when we fly to Vancouver.

*2 weeks ago, I set-up a new blog. It's still in the works but I'm hoping to finish it soon.

Poor baby

Thank God the little one is finally taking a nap. We went to see his pedia this morning and they gave him his vaccination. They told me to expect him to have fever and be fuzzy. So far, no fever but he has been a little fuzzy. It has been 3 hours since we got home from the doctor and I've been trying to finish reading an article about human growth hormone side effects since we got home and only finished 5 minutes ago. That's how fuzzy he's been. Hopefully he'll be fine tonight and that I get some sleep. Other than that, he is on track with his development. yey!

Multi-Tasking

I think I'm approving with my multi-tasking skills. Ever since the little one was born, I have slowly mastered the art of multi-tasking. Little one on the left hand, pumping milk on the right or watching over the baby while doing the laundry or cleaning feeding bottles while cooking. What I like the most is watching over the little one and online window shopping. We are currently looking for a contemporary sofa for our living room and we have not been successful in finding one. We are hoping to get one over the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Swaddles

I've only had the little one for a week but have noticed on how well he sleeps when he is swaddled versus when he is not. He surely sleeps longer when I have him swaddled but I'm still forced to wake him up to drink his milk. His swaddle was a last minute buy and I'm sure glad I did. I actually almost forgot about it because I was distracted with the barcode scanner the had at the store. Good thing the lady behind me reminded me of the swaddle i left on my cart. I'm surely using a swaddle up until my little one doesn't fit his swaddling blankets. Lol.

One Week

Today, the little one is a week old. That also means I have not gotten a decent sleep in a week. I badly need a cream for my dark eye circles. It's been all worth it though. It is tiring and I sometimes miss my me time but every time I see the little one I know I just have to enjoy his being little because in no time he'ld be running around the house.

Waiting Game

And the waiting for "the day" has begun. I don't really mind waiting for a few more weeks since we are still waiting for the house to be ready. We have been less busy the past few days, which I think is good. My days has been spent resting and doing little errands but not everyday. Last Monday, It was too hot to go out and I just stayed inside the room. Thank God for a/c! I only realized on how hot it was when it was time to go out for dinner. All I did the whole day was read, watch TV and read. Was reading about Accutane Lawsuit and Trasylol Lawsuit. It was really interesting and then the I thought of how I at one point wanted to be a lawyer. I had a client back then that was a professor in one distinguished law school and he was convincing me to go to law school. I was undecided and for some reason ended up in nursing school. No regrets though but sometimes I can't help but think of what would have happened if I took that road.

Car Seat

A must with the coming of "tornado" is a car seat. We can't bring him home if we don't have a car seat. It took sometime before we got him one though. We technically didn't get him one because SIL and family bought us one. We were on the look out for a car seat but we wanted to wait till after the baby shower to get one. I think we kinda knew we were going to get one as a gift. Tomorrow we shall install the car seat. The box is sitting in the garage for the past 2 weeks. We need space in the garage and so we just thought of installing it in the car already. At least we would be ready for "tornado's" arrival.

Growing Family

And soon we will be three.

In less than a month, we will finally see "tornado". Long wait is over. I am blessed I didn't have a hard time during my pregnancy. The nine months flew by so fast. T and I have talked about having a need to start saving up for "tornado". We thought of saving money for now and then eventually investing it and the best investment is to buy gold bars. The value of gold has increased by so much in the past few months. It is indeed the best investment one could get into right now.

I'm praying everything goes well in the coming weeks and that I don't have a hard time with the labor and delivery. I'm praying my little tornado is a healthy baby. Can't wait! Can't wait!

Busy Weekend

It was a busy but fun weekend for us. Saturday morning was spent doing more cleaning in the house and waiting for the delivery of our cabinets. Saturday afternoon was our baby shower hosted by our families. It was nice to be with family and friends of course. We are also happy with all the gifts we got for the little one.
For a change, it was a late start for us last Sunday. For the past weekends we always start the day early but yesterday we went out already at past 10 in the morning. We just did a few errands and a few shopping. Too bad I didn't see the moisturizer for face my cousin has recommended I use. Maybe later when we head back to the mall for a little more shopping. I'm hoping to buy a few more things for the little one, for me and for T.

10 weeks

Let the countdown begin!

I could honestly say we are not yet ready for the "tornado's" arrival but we are very excited. I guess you'll never really be ready for something like this. Our not being ready is more of our house is not yet ready for the baby but we are getting there. I hope I won't need to buy the best eye wrinkle cream in the market anytime soon. I have so many things on my mind I know same with T especially since he's been really busy with work too.

Shopping

I have not bought anything for myself in a month. I think that is a good thing. Other than nothing fits me right now, I got new maternity clothes from my mom and hand me downs from my SIL. I should be good with the clothes I have now. It's good for our savings too.
Not buying anything though does not stop me from looking at sale items online. Just looking for now and taking note of things I like. Most of the items I'm looking at are for "tornado" and the house.

Losing Weight

I know a lot of people are into "losing weight". I've been watching the current season of biggest loser and I'm amazed by how the conestants have lost the weight. All with watching the food that they eat and with exercise. I'm all for the natural way of losing weight. But sometimes with all the weight they lose I can't help but think that they might be taking the best weight loss supplement too. Nothing against that too. I think I might need some by next year. It used to be so easy to lose weight but I guess as you grow older, metabolism changes and losing weight becomes more difficult. Anyways, I can't do anything for now with weight loss. All I can do is make sure I eat right and hope I don't gain much in the coming months.
