Birthday Gift

I had a very quiet celebration of my 32nd birthday. My SIL took me out to lunch and then I spent the afternoon with her and her kids. We then met up with T for dinner. T got me a wok and a sony network media player for my birthday gifts. I told him if this was his way of telling me that we should get rid of our cable tv already. I tried the media player earlier and signed up for hulu plus. It was ok. I didn't like that it had commercials though. I would try Netflix next after my free subscription with hulu ends. I told him that we should now get movie theater seats so that watching movies will be more fun. Maybe we should get a good popcorn maker too. :D

2nd Year Anniversary

We didn't really plan anything for our second year wedding anniversary. We just came back from a mini-vacation over the Christmas break so that sort of was our early anniversary celebration. We didn't really get any gifts from other people this year for our anniversary. I remember getting clocks first anniversary gifts last year. It was nice and quiet for us this year.

Post Christmas Shopping

Loving the after Christmas sale. I thought shopping would end with the end of the season but I was wrong. A lot of the stores are still on sale! Love.it. I was able to buy 2 cousins digital cameras and other gifts for family and friends back home. We have already filled 2 boxes to be sent home but it seems like we need to get another box as we still have more items here at home. I won't even be surprised if the husband bans me from going to the malls soon. lol.

Christmas List

We have not started with our Christmas shopping. I have a feeling we will be doing this a day before Christmas,lol. At least I have made a list already of who we need to buy gifts for and what we could buy for them. We gave the guys on our list nice pens last year and I'm thinking of giving them ties this year. The kids would probably get either toys or books. The women are getting scarves. And the list goes on and on.

GPS

The truck I've been driving does not have a gps tracker that is why I've been bugging T to get me one. I usually just use the map off my phone to get to somewhere unfamiliar. I know though that having the tracking device is going to make my life so much easier as I have gotten myself lost quite a number of times already. T promised to get me one and install it in the truck but with his busy schedule I hope he could have this done before Christmas. If he doesn't then I would probably get it myself and install it myself. It should not be very difficult to install.

Pens

I was looking for vitamins online for my dad while T was opening a box that was delivered that morning. I didn't know what he bought online and he just out of nowhere gave me pens.

I love pens! I remember back in college and nursing school that I would spend hours in the bookstore just checking for new pens and I always had to have a nice pen or else I'd be so lazy taking down notes.

Great Gifts

I had great gifts waiting for me when I got here from Manila. If you follow my blog or a friend over at facebook, you'ld know that in early November of last year we were robbed and I lost my netbook and phone. I never bought one again in Manila and just used our desktop or my asus eee pc ( a pink one that I left with my dad, teehee!).

Right when I got here, T gave me 2 early Christmas presents. A Toshiba Mini NB205. Another pink netbook. What's so great with it is it has atleast a 9 hour battery life. Im currently loving windows 7 too because of how easy it was to network my netbook with T's laptop and then set it up again with the wireless printer. Convenience right there. I got to get a subscription for online backup though. I told T I would have that done before the weekend.

Other than that he gave me a new phone to use, An iphone. I miss my E63 and my ipod but the Iphone was a great upgrade from my E63. Christmas came early for me with all the gifts I got apart from all the winter clothes waiting for me.

Jewelries

Not only diamonds, but jewelries and jewelers in general are a girls best friend. I don't know what is it with jewelries but a lot of people I know are just drawn to them. I was not really a fan of jewelries not until lately. For one they are very good investment. Plus jewelries are something you can pass on to your children.

If you are thinking of investing in jewelries though, you have to be very careful and make sure you are dealing with reputable jewelers. You want to make sure you get the best deal for your money and get really good quality jewelries. So remember to very careful as you don't want to be scammed and be to late to realize it.

Must Love Pens

I told T during one of our conversations that I wanted a set of colored pens they were selling over at ebay. I never got to buying those pens because it was from a seller who is based in Japan and I didn't really want to pay that much for shipping. To my surprise, T bought me the pens! I don't know if he bought it from the same seller but just the same it's the same set of pens I wanted. I feel like I'll be more inspired with reviewing because of my new pens.

Father's Day

I'm so confused as to when father's day is. mother's day is celebrated every second Sunday of May and all the while I thought father's day is celebrated every second Sunday of June but looks like it's not. My sister said that father's day is June 21, her source of this information is the banners at SM.

I guess it works to my advantage as I still don't have an idea as to what I should give my dad. It's common practice that we dine out every father's day but I'm still clueless as to what gift to give.

My dad is into golf so I'm thinking of a gift that's related to his sports. I was originally thinking of getting him a cabinet for all his golf trophies. I've been wanting to arrange his trophies (he got them from all the tournaments he joined in Saudii) as they are everywhere. In the living room, computer room, and their bedroom. Then again, Im thinking I could get him a portable putting green.

I have a week to decide, so will see.

Gift for Bindi

I have to start making a list of possible gifts for Bindi. In a few months time she'll be turning 1 already. I have yet to ask my cousin (Bindi's mom) on what she needs but I was thinking of maybe getting her a walker but my mom said she might only get to use it for a week tops a month and then she won't be needing it anymore. For all we know, she might be walking already when she turns 1 and my gift would not be useful anymore. What would a 1 year old girl need? She has tons of clothes already, some she only got to use once as she is getting bigger and bigger (not to mention cuter) everyday. Everyone is just crazy about this little girl, especially my uncle and aunty. I agree with what most people say that the grandparents are spoilers, teehee. So, any suggestions on what I should get for Bindi? I still have 5 months to think about it.

mirror, mirror on the wall

i hardly put on make up. i don't even know how to put make up on. i just use blush on if i go out (that's techinically still not make up, right?). anyhoo, i bought makeup mirrors last night to give to 4 of my friends and then another one for me. it's a really good mirror not just for putting on make up but also for plucking the eyebrows. it's a great gift for girl friends this christmas.

medical bracelets

like every girl, i love jewelries also. when i saw the medical jewelry online it was something i liked immediately. the designs are ordinary but its the engraved designs that really caught my attention. nurses are not allowed to wear jewelries in the hospital but i still would like to get one. the bangles are pretty affordable so i am planning to buy my close girl friends from school one each as a christmas gift.

clothes...more clothes

it's bad that i can stay online all i want again. having to be online means one thing for sure...shopping! i really don't know what to buy my guy friends and cousins. that has always been a problem because it's so much easier to buy gifts for my girl friends. anyhoo, i found a solution for this year. i bought their gifts from port authority clothing. it saved me a trip to the mall plus i got a good discount. woohoo.

baby clothes

julia ( my niece) is turning one and a she is going to have a strawberry shortcake themed party on saturday. i got her some baby clothes online. what they have are statement shirts. i loved online shopping for birthday present as i was able to customize it. you can get either a onesie, a short sleeve or a long sleeved shirt. the designs they have are really cute and funny. they even have onesie's for twins! super nice. i got 2 shirts for julia. one will serve as her birthday gift and the other as her christmas gift. at least one name has been crossed out of my christmas list. here's a picture of the shirt i got for her.

wedding gift shopping

a relative from australia is set to get married before the end of the month here in manila. since they live abroad, they have requested their guests to get them Wedding Gifts online. i think this idea is really great! at least the guests knows already what they would really need and they wouldn't even have to worry of how they will be bringing their gifts back to manila. the website also donates to charity for every gift that is purchased from the website. so that is like hitting two birds with one stone. and since online shopping is therapy for me, i have been tasked by my mom to select their gift. woohoo.

christmas shopping

five more days till september and that only means christmas is just around the corner. how time flies! i have already made a list of my christmas gift list. why so early? i will be busy the coming months and since i am without a job, i need to come up with christmas gift ideas that are nice, something everyone will love but most importantly reasonable. right now i have thought of giving relatives a photo canvass. the list is still long but it surely pays to start early.

dad's christmas wish

my dad told us over dinner that he wants a plasma cutting machine for Christmas. i thought he was kidding, but he was not! a plasma cutting machine is a cutting tool for occasional repair and maintenance work. my dad loves on fixing anything and everything. i remember him working on a washing machine that we had. i was joking him at that time that he was working on an airplane. teehee. he says that if he had a plasma cutting machine, it will make his work easier and he would come up with high quality output. i told him i will buy him the machine...in my dreams! teehee.
