Birthday Gift

I had a very quiet celebration of my 32nd birthday. My SIL took me out to lunch and then I spent the afternoon with her and her kids. We then met up with T for dinner. T got me a wok and a sony network media player for my birthday gifts. I told him if this was his way of telling me that we should get rid of our cable tv already. I tried the media player earlier and signed up for hulu plus. It was ok. I didn't like that it had commercials though. I would try Netflix next after my free subscription with hulu ends. I told him that we should now get movie theater seats so that watching movies will be more fun. Maybe we should get a good popcorn maker too. :D

Kenneth Cobonpue

I saw this chair at The Tides hotel and both T and I loved it! It's a Kenneth Cobonpue piece under his chiquita collection. At first I thought it would not be comfortable to seat on this chair but I was so wrong.

It's 350 pieces of rattan poles on top of a polyurethane cushion inside a molded steel base. I really love this chair but Im guessing it could be a really expensive chair. I love how it feels when the poles sink softly when you sit on it. I wonder on how much this costs. I would love to have one or maybe two of this in the house.

Crazy Monday

Monday is always a busy day. So many things to do, so little time. Since I started working again, i started hating Monday's. Just a busy day! Had to make a lot of calls today but still ended up not finding the Accountant that we need. Sigh, i hope to find someone by tomorrow. Other than work, i have also started my online review for the NCLEX. It's hard to be studying again after not doing so for more than a year so i do hope to find my groove back--soon i hope.

It's a good thing I was able to send the pictures of the patio furniture my Uncle wants to buy for their house in dumaguete. I should have sent that last week and i totally forgot.

I hope tomorrow is going to be a better day.

stereo cabinet

i have long wanted to put the stereo in my room but where to put it has been my problem. not anymore though. a friend of my mom gave her a stereo cabinet. tita annie gave it to my mom but it's mine now. i loved it when i saw it and asked my mom immediately if i could put it in my room and she said yes. the cabinet was delivered yesterday and is now in my room. loving it.

i have never been really concerned with my environment. i do my part by making sure i don't just throw garbage anywhere, i pick up trash when i see one but that's about it.

i guess as you grow older you become more aware of things you should really be aware off. you are more concerned of the things happening around you and that includes the environment. i have been browsing for lack of things to do and i stumbled upon a website that sells eco friendly products. the stuff they have are really good. would you imagine of a solar canvas tote bag that gives you the power to charge up your electronic devices like mobile phones, camera and mp3 players no matter where you use it. ain't that cool? the material used for the bag is canvass and that makes it biodegradable. another great item that caught my attention was the kill-a-watt electricity monitor. with the sky rocketing electric bill i think this is something every household should have because it allows you to forecast potential energy cost. Simply connect your appliances to the Kill-a-Watt electricity usage monitor and it will assess how efficient any appliance or machine really is. so you would know if a certain appliance saves you electricity or is consuming too much. that's really something!

GreenandMore.com offers hundred of eco friendly products that you'ld love to own. some of the things that they sell are items i could only imagine. i have realized that i could do a big part in saving our environment by just being aware of the items i buy.

finally a bar!

my cousin had their house in tagaytay renovated. part of the renovation is having a bar. we love drinking sprees. well we have not done this lately but at any chance we get we always spend night outs drinking. we went to their house already and the bar is beautiful. he got a really good deal with the bar stools which compliments the whole look of the room. we are all planning to head to tagaytay on the first weekend of december. that is something to look forward too.

bunk beds

as a kid i wanted to have a bunk bed, sadly i never had one. my mom was scared that we might fall so she never got us bunk beds. as i was browsing online for a nice desk, i chanced upon bunk beds. the designs of are really nice. ever since i saw those beds online, i have been bugging joji to get a new bunk bed for her kids. if i can't have one, i could always sleep over my cousins house and get to sleep on a bunk bed with her kids.
