Online Shopping

My good friend from college is celebrating her birthday next week and since I was not able to get her anything for Christmas either I am now on full shopping mode trying to find the perfect gifts for her. Good thing their are now more choice with regards to online shops that are based in manila where I can buy her gifts and just have it sent to her house. That saves me a lot of money since I don't have to worry about shipping. I now appreciate online shopping more than before. I used to not like it since I end up missing the malls but I have recently appreciated it more simply because it makes things a lot easier.

land for sale

a friend from graduate school I is moving from alabama to vermont because of work. she couldn't really let the opportunity pass as she was given an offer she could not refuse. she worried at first since she had recently bought a property and since it looks like she's not coming back to alabama for a long time, she has no option right now but to sell the property. she was given only one week to relocate so she is really lucky to be able to post an ad online for an Alabama land for sale. thank God for online sites that provide as your market place. sure is a big help instead of getting a realtor.

looking pretty good

i saw my friend I the other day. she is here on a vacation and the moment i saw her i knew something was different. she looked different, she looked prettier than when i last saw her. as we were talking, she asked me if i notice anything different. i immediately told her i do but i don't think that she had a nose job she has been wanting to get. that made both us laugh. she then said that she had her teeth done. she went to charlotte cosmetic dentist and had them fix her teeth. she says she now has teeth like those of beauty pageant contestants because she used to have really small teeth. she could now pass for a toothpaste commercial with her pearly white teeth.

shout out

a shout out to my friend teresa who is now a futures broker. i used to work with her in the bank and she was one of the best sales officers we had. anyhow, she is still in the financial word but is now dealing with commodity trading. trading is an exciting field and im pretty sure you'll do good. all the hard work and sacrifices now paying off.

bathroom vanities

i went window shopping yesterday with gen, before the taylor hicks concert. she is to move in to her condo unit by the first quarter of 2008 and is currently in the process of completing her furnitures. we were checking out bathroom vanities yesterday and saw a lot of options. all were pretty. everything would really depend now on the theme of her room because she would have to match her bathroom with it. at least she now has ideas of what to go for.

mirror, mirror on the wall

i hardly put on make up. i don't even know how to put make up on. i just use blush on if i go out (that's techinically still not make up, right?). anyhoo, i bought makeup mirrors last night to give to 4 of my friends and then another one for me. it's a really good mirror not just for putting on make up but also for plucking the eyebrows. it's a great gift for girl friends this christmas.

i was chatting with my cousin about her mom's bday party next week plus busy completing my pending opps when i checked on the blogitive site and saw that their were a lot ( 5 when i checked, and that's a lot already considering the opp drought due to PR rankings). i immediately started grabbing opps. i remembered kathy and she was not online so i sent her a message to go online as it was raining opps. i got a message from her that she was not home. i immediately told her to send me her username and pw (just change it later, kathy) so i could grab her some. and i successfully did! woohoo. i texted peachy and she was online already and was able to grab herself some opps too. happiness abounds.

loans

my friend from nursing school ford was one of those students you would really admire. like everyone else, he was working full time and going to school as well. what sets him apart from the rest of us though was he was also supporting 2 brothers to school. i was talking to him last saturday and that was when i found out that he had to get a loan to survive the last year of nursing school. the tuition was just too much and with two other brothers going to school he really didn't have any other option. he was lucky enough to have been give the option of either to take a personal loan or pay day loans. he had opted for the latter. he says he is just happy that we are already finished with school and his other brother is to finish by march already.

vacation home

my high school friend who works as a nurse in the US has recently bought a property. she didn't just buy a house, she bought a vacation home Orlando property. she has been working for 3 years now, all hard work! she has finally seen the fruits of her labor. she said that it's not really a good time to buy a property in the states but she still decided on buying one since she was given a really good deal. i wonder on when i could buy my own house?

accidents

my friend called me overseas last night as he was so scared. he got into a car accident as another car was over speeding. he has mentioned that in north carolina, knowing on who is legally responsible for the accident is really difficult. my friend is so lucky not only as he is not harmed from the accident but especially because he got the help of Raleigh accident lawyers. it will take time for him to get over the accident. it will take weeks before he gets his car again. but we are all glad he is okay and will get the help that he needs.

a spooktacular event!

we had a halloween party last saturday (10.27.2007). it was super fun! unknown to family and friends, my ate came home from the US. she was suppose to go home for christmas but since she was not allowed to take her vacation come december, she decided to come home october instead. everyone came in costumes! it was a super successful party.

working abroad

cheers to my former client now friend jek who has is set to leave for the states as he been hired by an EMI Shielding material company. when he first texted me, i was texted him back asking him what EMI was. i thought music company, teehee. EMI acutally means Electromagnetic Interference. i still don't know what he will do and what the company is for. just the same i am happy for him. he has been slaving himself for the past year so he truly deserves it. congrat's and see you on your despidida party.

talk to my lawyer

my friend liz is a New York personal injury lawyer. she said that her job though it takes much of her time has been very fulfilling. i finally got to see her after 4 years. she handles medical malpractice cases as well. the cases she handles vary. from cases due to an injury suffered by a person or property to injury resulting from someone else's negligence or fault. she was even telling me of a case she recently handled that was due to a non physical loss. it was nice seeing her and it's nice to know that i now have someone who could help me just in case i get into trouble in the states (not that i want too!).
