boracay is love. i don't think i will ever get tired of going to boracay. our flight was at 6:30 am, meaning i was up as early as 4am and was at the airport before 6am. checking-in was a breeze. the plane is a 30 seater plane but on our way to bora, 10 passengers lang kmi. they told us we were to board at 6:15, and we did. flight was on time. they all had to seat us at the back of the plane, which was ok naman. the plane trip was good and fast. we were at caticlan by 7am and was at boracay island before 8 in the morning.
we stayed at la carmella de boracay. even though check-in was at 2PM they already gave us our rooms (yehey!). hotel was ok. after we settled in our rooms, we immediately went around. we went to the house first of my sister's friend. tapos we headed over to jona's for our fruit shake fix and breakfast. yum-o! a boracay visit would never be complete talaga without jona's! we went to a store after to buy bottled water and then headed back to the hotel. my dad, mom and my ate peach were sleepy so they spent the afternoon sleeping. i went to the beach with my other sister to enjoy the sun. i didn't go to boracay to sleep!
we missed on having lunch that is why we had a really early dinner at 5pm and then went around again. went back to the hotel and went out for some drinks at juice at around 8pm till midnight. more day one boracay pictures here.

im back!
i super missed the internet and blogging. i could have used the free wifi in the hotel but i opted not too. we got back tuesday but i have been pretty busy with other things since coming back from the short but super sulit vacation in boracay. will be posting pictures and kwento soon.
but for now...after 2 years and a half ( i stopped for one semester). G-R-A-D-U-A-T-E na ako! woohoo. i actually finished in april but we missed on attending the ceremony. ok na din that we missed it because most of my friends only graduated october also. but since i only attended the ceremony today, ngayon ko lang na feel that i really graduated already.

further studies
now that i have finished my nursing degree, i have been thinking if i should finish my masteral studies. one of the universities i found online offering graduate online degrees is capella university. they offer 104 graduate and undergraduate specialization so i have the option of finishing my masters in business administration or maybe take a masteral degree in public health. that could give me the option of teaching in the future. i really love the idea of having to just study online basically because of flexibility. i am to receive my university guide within the next two weeks. at least this would give me more options in the coming months and would hopefully help me decide on what i really want to do next.
to prepare for my trip, i went to lay-bare waxing salon in quezon city. i have had waxing before and most often than not i leave the salon not happy. mas happy pa ako with using veet. but since i read really good reviews for lay-bare, i tried it. they use cold wax and i really didn't find it painful. in the end i am happy with the service i got since the place is really clean and the girls are really nice and friendly. finally, i have found a waxing salon i really like.
been so busy the past few days. busy with review, trying to complete requirements for the boards, trying to make some opps for extra money, meeting up with relatives and friends. i honestly have not done much studying but i promise to make up when i get back from a short vacation. i really need the vacation and im super glad im having one.
accidents
my friend called me overseas last night as he was so scared. he got into a car accident as another car was over speeding. he has mentioned that in north carolina, knowing on who is legally responsible for the accident is really difficult. my friend is so lucky not only as he is not harmed from the accident but especially because he got the help of Raleigh accident lawyers. it will take time for him to get over the accident. it will take weeks before he gets his car again. but we are all glad he is okay and will get the help that he needs.

to curl or not to curl
i had my long delayed graduation picture taken last weekend. we should have had the picture taken last april but for some reason we missed it. i had my hair curled and i loved it. i still don't have proof's of the pictures but we (me and my friends) went to a studio near the school to have our group picture taken. the pictures are not clear though because i don't have my scanner here sa house. what i did was i took a picture of my picture. labo!

so, what do you guy's think? should i have it curled or stick with the straight hair?

who watches marimar? i do! hahaha. when it first started, i didn't really watch it but i started watching about three weeks ago. when it's marimar being shown on tv, i stop studying and just watch tv. addict! super funny also the scenes with fulgoso (marimar's dog). i really hope though that they stick to the original story line. yes, i also watched marimar before sa channel 9 staring thalia. hahaha!
moving out!
my cousins are moving to a new house. they are actually moving from california to colorado. they have acquired a lot of things already and have decide to just bring most of their stuff with them instead of buying new furnitures for the colorado house. i could only imagine how tedious the move is going to be. not only tedious but stressful also. they have gotten the services of International Movers to help them move to their new home. they are getting the same company they got when they moved from florida to california a few years back, so they are pretty much confident everything will proceed without major problems.
a tag/question from kathy....
Are you a morning or a night person?
hmmm, let me think. their are times i could a lot of stuff in the morning. but their are also times i feel so sleepy in the morning and get things done by night. maybe it depends on the paid opps coming in! teehee. lately, i sleep late and wake up really early also. so i would say both.

no costume....
again, a problem for me. we have a halloween party on the 27th of october and i still have no costume. i have found so many cute costume's for kids, but i have not found anything for me. i have thought of this party but im the one without costume yet. i only have 3 more days left to come up with a costume. any ideas?
love for trucks
my cousin has asked me to help him look for truck bed liner for his truck since he does not have an internet connection. i have seen a lot of good ones online at a really good price. i really don't know anything about trucks, as in nada, zilch. but i had to do this for my cousin and so i did. surprisingly, i had fun. i enjoyed going over the truck accessories available online. when he came over this evening i showed him everything i saw and the choices available. good thing it was not me buying the truck accessories because i really would not know what to get.
heart of the matter...season 4 episode 4
meridith grey:
In life only one thing is certain, apart from death and taxes: No matter how hard you try, no matter how good your intentions, you are going to make mistake. You are going to hurt people. You are going to get hurt. And if you ever want to recover, theres really only one thing you can say...Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness old scores never settle. Old wounds never heal, and the most we can hope for is that someday we'll be lucky enough to forget.

let the truth sting...season 4 episode 3
meridith grey:
Doctors give patients a number of things. We give them medicine, we give them advice and, most of the time, we give them our undivided attention. But, by far, the hardest thing you can give a patient is the truth. The truth is hard. The truth is awkward and very often the truth hurts. I mean, people think they want the truth. But do they really?
The truth is painful. Deep down nobody wants to hear it, especially when it hits close to home. Sometimes we tell the truth because the truth is all we have to give. Sometimes we tell the truth because we need to say it outloud to hear it for ourselves. And sometimes we tell the truth because we just can't help ourselves. Sometimes, we tell them because we owe them at least that much.
i so can relate!

casino
my friend refers to casino as "stress out". he actually goes to the casino at least once a week. he says he feels refreshed after a hard week at work. i recently told him about playing online casino. and for the past weeks he has skipped going to the casino and has been playing casino online every night. he's so happy since he has a lot of choices online as well in terms of what to play. he plays everyday for an hour and hardly losses. he says he sets a limit in terms of the amount of money he will spend but most often than not he really ends an night by winning. he has promised to treat us out for dinner soon with the earnings he made playing online casino. not only has he saved a lot due to his winnings but at the same time he has saved a lot of money since he does not spend for gas and food anymore.

when you don't feel happy, shop!
i have a confession to make. i shopped online again. amidst the ranting that i have to save, shopping cheers up a person when sad. so, shop i did. my sister has told me to visit the tobi site and the site is really a shopping haven. i have long wanted to buy jeans. lots of choices online, if i only had more money i could have gotten 3 or 4 pairs. but im not rich and im trying to save for another out of town trip in december. im very particular with my jeans. i had two brand choices for this shopping, seven for all mankind and nudie jeans. it was so hard to choose! it was like taking a medical-surgical exam (exaggeration!) or much difficult than that. i ended up buying from nudie. i have a sevens jeans already, that i dearly love because it's really nice and super expensive (the most expensive that i have!). that's why i ended up on buying the nudie pair to try it out. i have read good reviews about it so might as well try. if things don't go well between the brand and me, at least i know better the next time i go shopping. i promise to get the other pair by christmas time as my christmas gift to myself. shopping is love that i actually feel a bit better now.
im tired soooo tired. too many things going on. i wish the trip to boracay was to happen tomorrow, at least i'll get my mind off things. i really need to focus now on important things like reviewing. but i can't. i pray we get to finish all the required documents for the boards this week. october has never been a good month for me. a few good things are happening and will still happen in the next few days but sometimes i feel that the not so good things out weigh the good things. i wish for october to end.

i need money, asap!
hahaha, i actually don't. but if someone gives me money now, why not!
i had my share of money issues (who has not!?!). i one time had to pay for my tuition fee for masteral school and i didn't have ready cash available. i actually did not have any intentions of enrolling but at that time since i was in the banking-business industry, getting masteral studies was the next best thing ( later on i realized, it was nursing school i really wanted). i took the entrance exams, got interviewed by the dean and was welcomed to the DLSU-GSB community. enrollment came and i didn't have money to pay for tuition. that was how unprepared i was. lucky me, i had options. either i get a cash advance or apply for a payday loans. i took advantage of the pay day loans since i wanted to make sure whatever i borrow was within my means. the money i needed was immediately deposited into my checking account and the next thing i knew i was reporting for an organizational behavior class already. that was how easy the process was. unlike getting the loan from elsewhere where the approval will take so long. the approval of my loan was within 24 hours and the money was transferred overnight. talk about convenience! this types of loan facilities is something that you could really use for emergencies and shopping (that is an emergency!).

i have not been able to do some serious studying the past week. to be honest im so concerned that i seem to be slacking off with 39 days before the exam. how do you guys study? my waking up early (3-4am) worked for a few weeks but now, it's not working anymore. i get super sleepy after an hour of reading even if i try to sleep early. i know i should not go online anymore, but sayang the paid opps! teehee. i could use the extra money for christmas. i think too many things on my mind the past few days that's why finishing some reading has been impossible. i used to study sa coffeeshop, i have not tried it recently but will do after i come back from bora. maynilad is doing some work outside (our street) and i am estimating that come november, they'll be right in front of our house already. that would mean too noisy to study. and time to go to starbucks or seattle's or cafe mocha or coffee bean. i have to get back my groove. any suggestions on what i should do?

hospital facilities
having been exposed to public hospitals, i know and was exposed to the needs of our hospitals in terms of facilities, health care workers and medicines. lucky are those hospitals that get donations from other countries. my uncle who works for a hospital in the states would usually donate hospital beds and healthcare cart to a hospital in bacolod. when you visit the hospital, the carts they use are all imported and really nice. one could only wish that this need of our country, which i think is really immediate be addressed by the government.
co-clean
colon or more popularly known as the large intestine plays a big part in digestion. it is mainly responsible for storing waste, reclaiming water, maintaining the water balance, and absorbing some vitamins, such as vitamin K. that is why taking supplement for colon cleanse is very important. Co-clean is a cleansing and detoxification supplement that cleanses the body of harmful toxins and other wastes. life is short so might as well make sure you are living a healthy one.

josh grobam with lani misalucha
too bad i don't have the money to watch the josh groban concert ( i always don't have money! have to find work after the boards). ticket prices was really expensive. i was just talking with tita nora, who was lucky enough to get a free ticket for the concert and she was telling me about the josh-lani duet of the prayer. i just had to check you tube if a video was available. when i saw this video, galing talaga! goosebumps while watching.
lani makes you so proud to be a filipino because she is really so good. i think better than regine velasquez.

vegas!
i want to go to las vegas. well, my cousins promised that they will bring me to vegas when i go to the states. i remember my parents going to vegas a few years back and they stayed at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. from their pictures alone, the hotel was really beautiful! during their stay, my dad thought he won a car as he was playing with the slot machine. he did win, not the car though.
trick or treat?

love for horses
belinda and i have once talked about going on an equestrian vacation not alone for our love for horses but also because we wanted an equestrian riding apparel. from riding breeches to riding boots, to riding helmets, and horse show clothes. we loved a mikee cojuangco movie wherein she was in an equestrian riding apparel. i remember that one time we went to tagaytay wishing we were wearing a riding apparel instead of our shirt and maong jeans, haha!
skin care
i don't have a daily skin regimen. im just used to washing my face with soap and water but i have to admit that a time comes wherein one should be extra careful and take care of the skin. maybe, just maybe that time has already come for me. since i lack sleep and due to stress my skin is breaking out. considering that it's not even the time of the month to have pimples (i usually have one or two a few days before my cycle)! i currently bought skin care product skinceuticals online as it comes highly recommended by the dermatologist for basic skin care. let's see it this works.
let me just say this.
it's disappointing and totally pisses me when someone says something but does a different thing or does exactly the opposite of what he said.
says he wants coke, but is drinking pepsi.
says he wants white, yet goes for brown.
says he wants to be with the cat but gets caught again and again walking the bitch..opps, dog.
just proves to show that action speaks louder that words. enough said!

wonderful journey
We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we'd have to go through
Now here we are and I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you
No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start
Chorus
And life is a road that I want to keep going
Love is a river, I want to keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I'll be there when the world stops turning
I'll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you
We were strangers, on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand, unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you
Back to Chorus
Bridge:
Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I've been waiting so long
Nothing is going to tear us apart
Chorus
In the end I want to be standing
At the beginning with you...
Never dreaming, what we'd have to go through
Now here we are and I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you
No one told me I was going to find you

At the beginning with you
Back to Chorus
Bridge:
Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I've been waiting so long
Nothing is going to tear us apart
Chorus
In the end I want to be standing
At the beginning with you...

he was walking her home
Looking back
He sees it all
It was her first date the night he came to call
Her dad said son
Have her home on time
And promise me you?ll never leave her side
He took her to a show in town
And he was ten feet off the ground
(Chorus)
He was walking her home
And holding her hand
Oh the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him
Down that old road
With the stars up above
He remembers where he was the night he fell in love
He was walking her home
Ten more years and a waiting room
At half past one
And the doctor said come in and meet your son
His knees went weak
When he saw his wife
She was smiling as she said he?s got your eyes
And as she slept he held her tight
His mind went back to that first night
(Chorus)
He was walking her home
And holding her hand
Oh the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him
Down that old road
With the stars up above
He remembers where he was the night he fell in love
He was walking her home
He walked her through the best days of her life
Sixty years together and he never left her side
A nursing home
At eighty-five
And the doctor said it could be her last night
And the nurse said Oh
Should we tell him now
Or should he wait until the morning to find out
But when they checked her room that night
He was laying by her side
Oh he was walking her home
And holding her hand
Oh the way she smiled when he said this is not the end
And just for a while they were eighteen
And she was still more beautiful to him than anything
He was walking her home
He was walking her home

seriously...mc dream on!
i wish my ate could get me this....

and this....

i super love all the items but they are super expensive also. im still thinking if i should get them because apart from the cost of the shirts, the shipping is also to be considered. but the shirts are really nice. i don't know what to do anymore. i want to buy but a tiny part of me says don't buy.

mimi's new baby
mimi has been in the states for years and i have not seen her for so long. i remember during the time she was in college, we would usually stay up late just talking about anything and everything. she would often tell me that how she wished she could buy a car. she wanted to buy a car out of her own earnings and just recently that dream came true as she was able to buy a new car, woohoo! she bought herself a black 2007 dodge charger. but after saving up to buy the car, she is again now trying to save up to get some dodge charger accessory for her new baby. i want one too!
PMS
i get PMS every month. at least a day before my menstruation, i already drink medicine. i drink on the day before my cycle and another dose on the first day of my cycle. i have recently discovered a really good medicine to give me PMS relief. thank God for medicine's like this or else i would not be able to go about my daily activities due to PMS. what's so good about this NMS medicine, it does not only provide PMS relief but it also helps with any pain.
abc addict
one of the new shoes from abc is pushing daisies. love it! i downloaded the pilot episode already and i really enjoyed watching it. will have to download the other episodes this week, but watching the other episodes will have to wait till december. private practice which is a spin off of grey's anatomy is also nice. another series that caught my attention is who is samantha?. i will try to download pilot episode on tuesaday as the show is yet to premiere tom in the states.

not just another party
tita grace is turning 50 and we are having a party. my cousins have already decided on a date and venue for the party and since it will happen a week before Christmas, invitations are to be sent out early to make sure that guests could reserve the day already for the special occasion since by that time christmas parties would be in full swing already. i have already ordered the invitations online and would be hand carried to manila by a friend who is coming home next month.

Thank you...

October 20 is a special day as it is National Thank You Day!

God for all the blessing (and for all the blessing to come).
dad, mom and sisters for EVERYTHING.
for the ate's in the house, for making my life easier ( no household chores!).
my tuano and diaz family for all the good times and for being the best.
ayette, ate emma, arlet and tita mai for making nursing school fun.
to everyone i know--friends, acquaintances, classmates, old office mates, online friends--THANK YOU!
if YOU are reading this, let us celebrate National Thank You Day by making a make a list of people you want to thank. saying thank you is good for the heart. thank you!
pacquiao or barrera
everyone is excited for sunday because of the fight between pacquiao and barrera. being a boxing enthusiast, i am excited too. sadly, i won't be able to watch (except maybe for the replay) as i have to go to manila with peewee for free blood sugar testing for unilab.
everyone has been talking about who is to win, if it will be a knock out or a technical knock out or will they last all 12 rounds and the list just goes on. the people at the gym have already registered through an online betting station to place their bets for the fight. they prefer the online site as it will assure them of a secure online environment and all their needs are met. they have actually been using Bet 365 for some time now, not only for boxing but for online poker. ruben has already assured me that he will treat me to one free boxing session if he gets to win. so im keeping my fingers crossed.

cabin rental
i want to go on a vacation! if i could only go on one right now, i would. i'm right now at the middle of reviewing and i so want to go on a vacation because im so tired studying. i don't think i have studied this much my entire life! teehee. so take my mind off "nursing stuff" i just browsed through pigeon forge cabin rental in tennessee. how i would love to go there to enjoy the place and watch dvd series till i drop. i can't wait for december 3!
botox for migraine
one of my closest friends has been suffering from chronic headaches aka migranes for years. she is totally useless when she has migraine attack. she has tried all the medicines she could and has consulted doctors but nothing has really worked for her just yet. when i read about botox for migraines i immediately sent her the link. i read that botox relieves migraines as it relaxes tight muscles according to some study done. i guess this would still undergo more study. but if it does relieve migraines, it will surely help a lot of people.

A Change is Gonna Come
loved the first episode of grey's anatomy season 4.
lemme share some scenes i liked:spoiler alert!
im not the girl from the bar, and im not bambi either.
i never thought that defibrilating an almost dead deer would bring her back to life. enjoyed that scene!
"it's much better to be alone and feel like a success than to be in a relationship and feel like a failure all the time." - meredith grey
"Change; we don’t like it, we fear it, but we can't stop it from coming. We either adapt to change or we get left behind. And it hurts to grow, anybody who tells you it doesn’t is lying. But heres the truth: the more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes change is good. Oh, sometimes change is everything." -- meredith grey
can't wait for next week!

from home business
i have been thinking on how to earn extra money since i am currently not employed. i need to come up with a business that would allow me to earn extra money but would not take up much of my time since my priority for now is studying for the boards. good thing, i came across a very nice business opportunity that solves my problem. hope this works!

in 2004 kevin (a good family friend) joined brisbane's karaoke idol. if i could remember it right, he won a car.

he recently joined another contest to give his wife an engagement ring. they have been married twice already. both wedding's here in the philippines, but has never given dixie an engagement ring. they now have an adorable 1 year old kid who i would hopefully get to see when they visit manila next month. anyhoo, dixie is now an owner of a $3,000 solitaire diamond ring. the serenading was worth it. here's a link to the video of the actual proposal. sweet ka pala, kevin! teehee.

it's only thursday but it has been a long tiring week. lucky us, we got a chance to go home early today so no traffic (woohoo!). i had planned to sleep but i thought of rewarding myself by watching a movie. lucky me, i saw a dvd at my aunt's house of the movie no reservations. loved the movie! super cute. i never found aaron eckhart cute, but he was in the movie. it's one of those movies that makes you feel good after. and the tag line of the movie is so true--life isn't always made to order!

progesterone
who would not want a progesterone creme that relives and prevents symptoms of PMS, perimenopause and menopause? the symptoms im actually talking about are excessively heavy bleeding during a period, weight-gain, headaches, primary dysmenorrhea or cramps, and a risk of endometrial cancer. alot of women would want this creme! it has been said that the safest, most affective, and convenient method of progesterone application is topical. with that said, i think i will want this!

martin raymond tomas diaz

for some unknown reason, i had a weird feeling this morning that i had to go to the hospital to visit martin who has been confined since sunday. bheng and i agreed to meet up by 12:30pm and go to the hospital. As we were to enter the PCMC gate, i got a text message from my dad telling me that he was at the hospital and that martin was very weak already. his parents has been earlier told by the doctors that he could go at any time. we rushed to the icu of PCMC and the very instant i saw martin, i immediately whispered a prayer to God that his going be peaceful. i knew it wouldn't be long.
Martin joined his Creator at past 1 in the afternoon. He fought a good fight. He lived to celebrate his second (and last) birthday with a barney party thrown by his loving parents just a month ago. i know that the little boy tried his very best to fight and live for his parents and brother BUT i also very well know, that the time for martin to rest has come.
martin...no more pain, no more chemotherapy sessions, no more scarry doctors and nurses, and no more injections.
your mommy and daddy will miss their baby...
your kuya renboy will miss his lil bro and playmate...
we will all miss you...
Life has to end BUT love does not.

in between reading my nursing reviewers to save me from going crazy, i read. newspaper, magazine, archie's or any book i could get my hands on. i purchased a few weeks back the book p.s. i love you by cecelia ahern and the book is a must read. super nakakaiyak. it was so hard for me to put the book down. i read that a film adaptation is currently in production. i hope the movie is as good as the book. i can't wait to buy her other books but that would have to wait till after the boards or else i won't be able to concentrate with the review.

home sweet house
i have never experienced moving houses. i have always wondered how it'll be, and even envied people who had to move! when the idea of selling the property came up, i really didn't like it. the house and the compound memories money could never buy!
anyhow, selling the property is still not in the very near future because just recently my mom has been thinking of having home improvements done by next year. i already told my mom i want sash windows for my room. she didn't have an idea on what sash windows were so i showed to her a website i found online -http://www.anglianhome.co.uk- she spent more than an hour looking through the website as she really like the window and door designs that they had. my mom loved the most the conservatory and is now thinking of getting one for the garden. it was really nice and something different. i do hope she decides on having one made for the garden. and maybe when we have one already, the idea of selling the house would be dropped.

we went to nueva ecija last sunday to celebrate with my cousin sha-sha for passing the june nursing board exams. it was a long trip back to manila because of traffic. i spent the travel time reading and going over my reviewers. at least i was able to make good use of my time still. the food was YUM-O as usual!
***
i started with my local board reviews today. im having nightmares about the board exams already. a friend commented that we (me and my group) are starting quite early. we think otherwise though. with all the things we have to review, we feel pressured and we think december is so near already. eeek!

luggage
buying a luggage that will last and still fashionable was a problem. not anymore! not that im going out of the country anytime soon, but when i saw the Samsonite on sale, i just had to buy one. what i like about it is it has a push-button locking system and a combination lock. no more missing keys. i got a red upright suitcase for myself so that i would easily locate my luggage. i hate it when i have to been on the look out always for my luggage during trips.

piong golf
i was first introduced to golf by my wowo. now, my dad and a number of my uncle's (both sides of the family) are all into golf. daddy recently bought a ping golf putter as he is set to prepare for the PAL intergolf club tournament in bacolod next year. he even ordered a custom made putter. he used it last weekend already and says the price he paid for it was worth it. im guessing he had a good game. he missed two years of the tournament, and is really looking forward to next year's as he is the designated captain of their team. im excited also because im planning to go with them. woohoo!

cabinets
my mom is having new cabinets in my rooms installed. i never thought that chossing cabinet hardware was going to be difficult. a lot of designs for cabinet knobs and pulls alone. apart from choosing the design, you would also need to decide on the colors that you want. a lot has to be considered in choosing since you'ld need to make sure that the knobs and pulls that you choose fit the design of the room. God help me!
poker

friday evening, we (me and friends from school) stressed out. meaning we went to the casino (secret no more!). i didn't play though. i left my wallet and cell phone in the car. we stayed for an hour. i just watched my friend lose Php1,000. such a waste! anyhoo, i play poker though but with friends and we use fake money. i saw online though poker tables. they were all nice! the tables come with matching leather club chairs. the tables have poker chips well and cup holders. some tables even come with a slip over fine dining tops. talk about functionality. tables will surely be a great for those poker nights with friends.

weekend
my weekend was fun!
friday:
with friends from school, we went to school to apply for transcript and diploma. i saw one of our professors and he congratulated us for passing the board. i told him, we (me and my friends) have not taken the board yet. haha!
after school, we went to gateway as we are to watch a concert that is sponsored by hope cigarettes. we had dinner first at pizza hut. then off we went to araneta coliseum. it was actually not a concert but their were performers. it was a grand raffle draw of hope cigarette. someone won 20 million pesos (one winner only) that night. we had fun as the performers were ogie alcasid, vhong navarro and a few other artists. no pictures though as no one remembered on bringing a camera.
we stressed out (secret on what this means, teehee!) after the concert and then we went to starbucks. was home by 2am.
saturday:
i was home the whole day and studied the whole day (boring!).
sunday:

went to church at 8am and then went to alabang for TJ's party. had fun as usual. it was a costume party and the theme for the party was sports attire. went to the party as a boxer. look at my shorts! ginagaya ko lang shorts ni pacquiao (teehee)! more pictures posted here.
im posting a funny video my cousins told me about earlier. you must understand ilonggo though to better appreciate.

RC airplanes
pepe has recently blogged about remote controlled cars which has been a favorite past time of my cousin toto in bacolod. recently though, he has been into RC airplanes. he say's he has gotten tired of playing with cars. you need a bigger area though for this toy. it's cool though and i know toto's kids are really happy their dad is into this hobby because for sure the toy's are to be handed down to them.

LOVE the song!
You're a falling star, You're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool, on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say.
And you play you're coy, but it's kinda cute.
Ah, When you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true.
Cause you can see it when I look at you.
[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,
And you light me up, when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery, you're from outer space,
You're every minute of my everyday.
And I can't believe, uh that I'm your man,
And I get to kiss you baby just because I can.
Whatever comes our way, ah we'll see it through,
And you know that's what our love can do.
[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La
So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La
[Chorus:]

bunk beds

as a kid i wanted to have a bunk bed, sadly i never had one. my mom was scared that we might fall so she never got us bunk beds. as i was browsing online for a nice desk, i chanced upon bunk beds. the designs of are really nice. ever since i saw those beds online, i have been bugging joji to get a new bunk bed for her kids. if i can't have one, i could always sleep over my cousins house and get to sleep on a bunk bed with her kids.

eat bulaga
bheng and i have always wanted to watch a eat bulaga live. i have always enjoyed the noon time show even as a kid. thanks to a good friend karen we were able to watch with my mom's balikbayan friends last saturday. it was a dream come true. we had a blast! what made it more fun was my tita's number being chosen for the "itaktak" mo portion of the show. she was able to breeze through the game and played for the jackpot portion. she almost won the car but she still went home with Php32,000. not bad.

lights
lighting is important as it will give a room a different look. even if the room is nicely decorated with great interiors but if the lighting is not what the room needs, it will still end up to look bad. if a room has simple interiors but is well lighted, it could look really nice and elegant. if i could only find the perfect lighting for my room with a clap sensor. help!

i went out a few minutes ago and realized that i don't feel safe walking outside our house anymore. i used to be walking outside with my cousins when they were still living in the compound. where we live is relatively peaceful and quiet. we'ld usually go out after dinner for a stroll or to buy beer or go around banawe looking for something to eat. i went out around 7 in the evening with our househelp and for some reason i felt really scared. i have never felt this way because this is where i grew up. weird.

read a few chapters yesterday.
went through a few tests to see of how much of what i read i actually absorbed,
and i did a pretty good job.
can now spend a few hours online for my opps.
will have to go back to reading in a while after the househelp finishes cleaning my room.
i think i can survive the next few months.

an online store
doing business online is highly probfitable and the daily expenses is less than having a store. and that is why their are a lot of online shops selling everything and anthing you might need. doing online shopping is also very convenient that is why a lot of people have preferred to do so rather than going to shops. when you buy stuff online your get it right at your doorstep. no need to hassel yourself of going to the store. saves you time and gas!
i myself, have opened an online store. i have yet to fill it up with stuff but atleast i have started.
an online store is easier to manage and design. all you will need is a shopping cart software that could support your business and prepare your for the ecommerce world. the website www.ashop.com.au provides with such. the ecommerce software allows you to presonalize and customize your website. the website could very well represent who you are and could create a very good impact to the online shopping community.

today i cooked lunch. hooray!
i seldom go to the kitchen. i eat (a lot!) but i don't cook. i don't because i don't know how too. i have tried and i have to admit i have not been successful so i just stayed away from the kitchen as much as i could.
anyhoo, i was craving yesterday for a pesto based pasta with chicken strips. as i was at the grocery yesterday, i saw an instant pesto mix. i bought it and some chicken breasts for my chicken strips. i wanted to prepare it last night but i got so busy with the nursing board results i just prepared it earlier for lunch. it was easy. with the pesto mix i just had to add water and cooking oil ( i used olive oil). i had to ask the househelp to fry the chicken for me after i prepared the batter.
final veridict? it was ok. in short pwede na. it is way cheaper compared to eating at a restaurant and my family ate it naman so i think pasado. teehee.

christmas shopping
five more days till september and that only means christmas is just around the corner. how time flies! i have already made a list of my christmas gift list. why so early? i will be busy the coming months and since i am without a job, i need to come up with christmas gift ideas that are nice, something everyone will love but most importantly reasonable. right now i have thought of giving relatives a photo canvass. the list is still long but it surely pays to start early.

the results of the june 2007 nursing board exams came out this afternoon. i knew it was to come out already and i was even planning on waiting online tonight but i didn't know that the results are to be out as early as 4PM. anyhoo, im happy to share that all 3 cousins (jason,sha-sha and anna) passed the exam. all of my friends also passed the exams and one student from my school is part of the topnotchers. all good news for the day. and parties in the coming weeks to celebrate their success.
i opted not to take the exam because cousins were taking the exam and i felt i could not handle the pressure. but now that they passed, and i am to take the exam soon i have realized that i SHOULD pass because they did! double na ang pressure. OMG!
