bogart is now up and running! hooray!
my dad brought him to a different hospital that a family friend has referred us too and they did wonders with bogart as he is now well. it even came as a shock that no hardware was to be changed. they just made a little tweaking, he is fine na! my dad paid a not even more than Php500 (that's including the tip). but we told my mom that my dad spent Php350(teehee).

a wedding shower gift
a friend is getting married soon and we are organizing her shower party. she has requested for a party that is not naughty but nice. we will give in to a not so naughty party but we have found a perfect gift for her. she has always complained that she does not look got wearing pants because of a flat ass and so we are getting her a padded panty which she would surely love. its a nice and a not so naughty gift plus it is something that she could really use.

collection agecies
i could only imagine how difficult and stressful it is to work for a commercial collection agency. it would also be difficult to find a collection agency that would suit your needs if you are a business who runs on credits. other debt collectors could come up with very poor performance. a good collection agency should be able to provide expertise and professionalism on the job as it is not an easy one.

crocs

to those with kids, nephews, nieces, godchildren or to anyone who's fond of wearing crocs, pls be extra careful when riding an escalator. i got this from here (im glad the kid is fine) but first heard of it from daphen osena, when her daughter met the same accident. apparently, the rubbery texture of crocs is highly possible to getting caught in an escalator. i thought it was an isolated incident but after reading this, i do think everyone must be aware of the pending danger.
good thing im not a crocs fan but a havaianas addict.
diet pills
an office mate has been drinking a chinese diet pills for the past 2 months. yes, she has lost weight but she does not look healthy at all. she looks tired, she fels sickly and sad to say she looks dry. im not against drinking weight loss diet pills, but i believe one should research and make sure that the diet pills would provide effective solutions. one of those weight loss pills that have generated a good review is hydroxycut. of course, if you plan on losing weight, diet pills alone would not work. you can only combine the pills with the correct diet and exercise to achieve your weight loss goals.

boy has a long time girlfriend. they met at work but girl A transferred to a different company because of better opportunities. boy meets girl B. boy and girl B becomes friends. best friend of boy becomes girlfriend of girl B's friend, and that made them even closer. word was out that boy and girl B are now together. but when asked, boy tells everyone she is still with girl A and is still very much in a relationship with her. when you ask girl b though, she'll tell you that boy has dumped girl A.
i too was confused not until one friday afternoon. we were with boy and girl B on an elevator but as we reached the ground floor and when the doors opened, girl A was waiting for boy outside. boy leaves girl B and puts his arm around girl A.
enough said!

my computer
bogart (a name i gave my PC) died a few months back but i am bent on just upgrading him. my dad has been bugging me to just buy a laptop, but i don't like working on a laptop. with my desire to have my computer upgraded, i have also been browsing for a dell memory. dell is a trusted name, easy to buy and install. i will be needing the extra memory as i will installing software's that i will need for review. i need a computer that could launch an run applications faster. upgrading is more reasonable than buying a new one. hopefully, i get this done by the end of august.
a love story

when i first saw the trailer, i immediately made a mental note that i will watch the movie when it comes out. and then towards the end of last week i read about how kathy and rosa enjoyed the movie. i have not had the change to watch a tagalog movie since december but i sure loved and enjoyed the movie. i story was good, something you would not expect. the acting was ok. i loved RS francisco in the movie.
i would have wanted to have a different ending, but like what my mom and tita josie said, the ending of the movie is morally correct. and that what makes the ending nice. a must see movie tagalog flick. (tita benj, if you are reading this make sure you get to watch it!).

tablecloth
the type of tablecloth that one uses makes a big difference on the dining table. while they are really meant to protect the table, they also sometime end up to be used purely for decorative purposes. my mom is very particular with table cloths. but most often or not, we used one which is red base in color. she says it makes the food look delicious. whatever. teehee.
celebrity duets
i was not able to watch since i was at the party but thanks to you tube i was able to watch video's of the contestants performance. tessa prieto was super fun to watch.

working abroad
cheers to my former client now friend jek who has is set to leave for the states as he been hired by an EMI Shielding material company. when he first texted me, i was texted him back asking him what EMI was. i thought music company, teehee. EMI acutally means Electromagnetic Interference. i still don't know what he will do and what the company is for. just the same i am happy for him. he has been slaving himself for the past year so he truly deserves it. congrat's and see you on your despidida party.

smorty
i am now a smorty!
finally after having to resubmit my blog, i have finally been approved to be part of the a smorty.
i do blog advertising and i am so happy with all the tasks i have been given. im not only happy with the tasks im getting but the extra money i get from this has been great. at least the time i spend online has been put to very good use. im now even thinking of getting my own domain name since i know i could get more tasks by doing so. in a few weeks, i will have to lessen my online time since i will have to seriously review for the boards but im still allotting at least 2 hours a day online to do my paid posts.
aside from earning money, i have discovered great sites and products. the products i have encountered are useful.
cheers to more online tasks!

boxing
i have read that manny pacquiao, after a few days in the states is to comeback to the philippines and has decided to just train here for his fight in october against marco antonio barrera. im no boxing expert but i don't think it is such a good decision to just train here than to train in the states. i don't really know what prompted him to go back to the philippines but i hope he realizes that barrera won't allow him to win easily. if he does not train well for the october fight and eventually loses the fight, it could very well be the start of the end of his boxing career.
im happy that we won the world boxing cup and equally happy for gerry penalosa who deserved his win. too bad boom-boom lost. oh well, we can't have everything.

talk to my lawyer
my friend liz is a New York personal injury lawyer. she said that her job though it takes much of her time has been very fulfilling. i finally got to see her after 4 years. she handles medical malpractice cases as well. the cases she handles vary. from cases due to an injury suffered by a person or property to injury resulting from someone else's negligence or fault. she was even telling me of a case she recently handled that was due to a non physical loss. it was nice seeing her and it's nice to know that i now have someone who could help me just in case i get into trouble in the states (not that i want too!).
dad's christmas wish
my dad told us over dinner that he wants a plasma cutting machine for Christmas. i thought he was kidding, but he was not! a plasma cutting machine is a cutting tool for occasional repair and maintenance work. my dad loves on fixing anything and everything. i remember him working on a washing machine that we had. i was joking him at that time that he was working on an airplane. teehee. he says that if he had a plasma cutting machine, it will make his work easier and he would come up with high quality output. i told him i will buy him the machine...in my dreams! teehee.
concert tickets
i love watching concert's. who doesn't? one of the most unforgettable concerts i have seen was that of the corrs. i remember that my friends and i had a hard time getting our tickets for the concert. ever since that time, i have been learned my lesson. i now buy concert tickets online. not only is it more convenient but it is way safer than buying tickets from unauthorized ticket vendors.
rain. rain. do not go away. macy wants to stay in bed and sleep all day.
teehee.
it has been so hard waking up and going to work. i even had to toss coin this morning since i was so lazy and was not in the mood to go to work. but i had to go no choice. i had to drag my lazy a@$ to work. good thing work was so-so today, unlike yesterday.
i still have nothing to wear for my sister's birthday. i might go for my sister's suggestion of dressing up like shirley temple or maybe dress up like blossom of PPG or maybe..i don't know! i still have up to tomorrow to buy an outfit and decide on what to do. wish me luck.

calorie counter
one of my main goals for this year is to eat healthy and be healthy. i try to box as often as i could as that is my only exercise and recently i have been keep a close watch on the calories i consume. it has been so hard but thanks to a free calorie counter i chanced upon online, life has been a wee bit easier. my calorie counter has helped me monitor my calorie intake and has so far been very effective in my goal to making sure i eat the right food. i believe i have been able to make better food choices. i still have a long way to go but it is a great feeling knowing i am making a progress on achieving my goal.

drug rehabilitation
any type of addiction must be addressed by drug rehabilitation. centers as such offers a lot of treatment that could greatly help a patient recover from an addiction. their are a lot of rehabilitation centers but all of them have a common goal, and that is to provide utmost care. it is hard to overcome addiction. a support group is really important to encourage the patient that he can overcome the addiction. rehabilitation also prepares the patient to the face the real world.

where did thy weekend go?
friday
had work till 5:30PM and then what was suppose to be a stop to "just eat" ended up as a trip to shop and eat in galleria with friends from work. shops were on sale! i got myself a few tops for work. teehee. shopping is love. i forgot that i had a stressful day at work. teehee.
saturday
was at 168 at 8:00am to buy goodies for my sisters birthday party. i have not been to 168 in months. as always, a lot of great finds! i bought a hello kitty mechanical pencil that could have cost more than Php200 in a gift gate shop for only Php80. we were at 168 till 3 in the afternoon.
had dinner with friends from school at tomas morato. i had to miss a bday party of a cousin in bulacan for this dinner. ayette, just got back from the states and since we missed celebrating her birthday last may we celebrated it last night. she had so many stories of her trip to the states and the endless opportunities waiting for us if we go there as nurses. it got us all excited and scared at the same time (we have exams to pass!). we started planning on where and when to review. hopefully, plans push through.

sunday

was up as early as 5:30am for a medical churva with peewee for unilab. we had a free blood pressure and blood sugar testing event at paco church. the event was sponsored by unilab and with us was dr hector dionisio. the doctor was so funny! he sure made the event fun. we had a lot of patients and it was tiring because of the heat. but in spite of the heat it was great because we were able to help a lot of people. i took their blood pressure and blood sugar level as peewee assisted me by changing the needle of the glucometer. doctor dionisio was the one providing free consultations. we had lunch after with peewee's boss. looking forward to activities like this (peewee, call me lang anytime!).
the afternoon was spent at home catching up on sleep.
it was a busy weekend. it was tiring but fun. i missed boxing this weekend, but hopefully i could go after work either on tuesday or wednesday.
great week ahead to all.

steel buildings
my uncle in the states sent me an email about buying a steel garage building kit. steel buildings are not very popular here in the philippines but it is in the states. they even have steel homes. for one it is easier to build and cheaper. their are also a lot of designs and colors to choose from. it is made of galvalume steel so that assures the buyer high quality product.

cast of charachter: joji (the mommy), jethro (11 years old), and nina (7 years old)
jethro: mom what is a virgin?
joji: she didn't expect a question as such from jethro so she just said
pag di pa gamit ang isang bagay (a thing that has not been used--what an answer ! classic)
jethro: no mom. i mean with girls. when do you call them a virgin?
(if i was jethro's mom, i would have had a heart attack!)
nina: hello, manong!(kuya in ilonggo) virign like virgin mary!
the mom was left speechless. i would have probably fainted.

curtains for julia
finally! after weeks of selecting, joji has finally decided on the pattern of vintage fabrics for the curtain on julia's room. i honestly never thought that selecting the perfect fabric for the my niece's room is going to be difficult. we had to select a fabric that would match the wallpaper of the room and the theme that joji has selected for her. i know she loves the room with the final outcome because her eyes lighted up when she saw her room. job well done then for joji and me.
i went boxing saturday and even if my body ached the whole day of sunday, i had super fun. it really is a good excersice and the jog and the stretching during my first 15 mins made me pant like a dog. when i thought i was done, my trainor told me we were not yet done as i needed to do abdominal excersices. he tortured me! i was really close to crying. but despite that, i did have fun.
funny bec im into boxing but i don't know how to jump rope! promise, i tried but i really couldn't. i told kuya al, we should skip that part of the training. it's 3 minutes wasted bec i really couldn't skip rope. i hopefully get to box this week again.
and i want this.

What is a soul mate?
it's like a best friend but more. It's a one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person. Actually, they don't make you a better person--you do that yourself, because they inspire you. A soul mate is someone you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you and accepted you. Believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would. And no matter what happens, you'll always love them. Nothing could ever change that.

blinds
first it's the tv, when i went to my room earlier the maids who are temporarily staying in my room have managed to break my window blinds as well. im planning to have them evicted from my room by next month as i start reviewing for the boards. i already told my mom about the broken window blinds and she said she will just buy a new set for my room. i started looking for nice blinds online. when i told her about the tv, she said she'll have it repaired. ha! i thought she was to get me a new one as well. wishful thinking!

condo hotels
staying in condo hotels are way more practical than staying in a hotel during vacations. they also offer the same amenities as luxury hotels but usually the rates for condo hotels is more reasonable than that of luxury hotels. that is why a lot of condo hotels are being rented out in the US. acutally not only in the US but also here in the philippines. whats great in investing with condo hotels is that the income generated from it could pay for the monthly fees. you don't only get to have a great investment, you have an investment that is income generating

going vintage
i'm loving the vintage fabrics i've chanced upon on line. i immediately showed it to joji as she is on the lookout for curtains for little julia's room. the vintage fabrics online include ginghams, ticking stripes, florals and polka dots. i especially love the cupcake fabric, ballet shoe fabric and the polka dot fabrics. the fabrics are perfect for julia's room.
manners, please!
im posting an article of Julie Yap-Daza on today's issue of panorama magazine. to the other pianist, the soprano and the tenor julie was refering too, i do hope you all get to read the article and learn from it. your talent will go to waste if you lack manners. talent alone won't bring you anywhere.
to my dearest tita nora, you are the best pianist for me and you rock!
medium rare: manners,please!
Since the event that I am about to narrate transpired two months ago, my anger has subsided and I am now able to recollect what happened with less emotion. A warning, though: Readers who don’t practice good manners or expect them from the people around them will only be wasting their time if they continue reading this piece.
It was a multimedia event. An exhibit of big paintings in free style, exploding in exuberant colors suggesting the likeness of amoeba, cells and other otherwise microscopic forms that we take for granted. A musical soiree featuring pianists and singers. And of course, fingerfoods matched with cocktails.
The program was held at the Podium, the second floor of which offers an appropriate size for such exhibits and musical fare. The repertoire included solo piano pieces rendered by Elnora Halili, spanning Broadway and standards plus beloved Philippine melodies. It was Elnora’s pianistic skills and arrangements of popular songs that I came for, but I was delighted to learn that there would be arias to be rendered by a soprano and a tenor (both of whom I shall not name), plus a guest performer, the painter Alan Cosio, tonight performing as a tenor, too.
The first part of the program sailed off to a melodious conclusion. The soprano, I noticed, had done her part: she had changed from her long gown into a casual white shirt and blue jeans; she was ready to exit the program after performing her share.
The second part was just starting, with Ms. Halili captivating her audience with original arrangements of song hits from yesterday. But in the middle of "The Prayer" as her fingers traveled up and down the keyboard, another pianist, the woman who had accompanied the soprano and the tenor when they sang their numbers in Part One, went up the stage. This accompanist practically shoved the petite and demure Ms. Halili off the bench, forcing her to stop in her tracks and end "The Prayer" without ending it.
Ms. Halili demurely collected her music sheets and calmly left the stage while the big pianist, the one who had just evicted her summarily from the piano, took over and began playing the introductory chords for her accompanist’s version of The Prayer. That was when the soprano stood up from her seat and began singing The Prayer with the tenor! The soprano’s desire to sing The Prayer, no doubt provoked by Ms. Halili’s beautiful piano solo, must have been so overwhelming that she lost her manners and felt compelled to grab the spotlight again, at the expense of removing a fellow artist from the stage in the middle of a pianistic moment!
So soprano and tenor sang, and accompanist played, as if they had not committed any breach of etiquette, as if the world belonged to them. By this time, I was seething in anger for the petite and demure Elnora, so as she left the stage to take her chair with the rest of the audience, I stood up from my chair, grabbed her hand, and told her, "We are walking out of here, Miss Halili! We are not letting them do this to you!"
Only a handful of people in the audience realized what was going on – an indication of how low we have sunk in practicing good manners and right conduct? But the few who did notice followed Elnora out of the hall to commiserate with her. One of them said she was shocked at how musicians and so-called "cultured people" behave like "uncivilized people." Another, a mother with her 10-year-old son in tow, a budding pianist, said: "They wouldn’t have done that to Cecile Licad or to a foreigner! I’m so sorry it had to happen to you, Miss Halili. And I don’t think they are going to apologize to you, because they don’t seem to understand that what they have done is wrong. How sad."
She said it was all the more sad because her son had witnessed it.
Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Two months after that unpardonable breach of good manners, I’m still very angry, though no longer explosively so. I’m angry on behalf of the pianist Elnora and I’m angry that the fellow musicians who’ve done her wrong go about their merry way with no one calling their attention to their insensitivity and lack of manners. Maybe I should also be angry at the petite and demure Ms. Halili, because as she told me, "I’m not angry, I’m not crying."
Okay, so let me do the angry part. As for crying, I hope she will allow me the luxury of pretending that she has a few drops of hot tears inside her brave heart struggling to be shed – at least during those times when she’s playing music that requires pathos and sorrow.

Never alone
Don’t be afraid
Of the years to come
Or the years that fade
With all those dreams
Don’t you lose sight
Of the boy you are
And that man inside
He speeds through life
Armed with his guards
Just to slow it down
To reveal his heart
My Darling dear
How far you'll have come
How courageous of you
To be whom you'll become
On firm ground, you're built
In strong faith, you stand
Let the weight disappear
Let one heart in one hand
I will watch you soar
Tell stories of your sky
Love is patient
Love is kind.
Don’t be afraid
Of the years to come
Or the years that fade
With all those dreams
Don’t you lose sight
Of the boy you are
And that man inside

When did you start blogging? January 2004
Is this your first meme? Nope. i have done a few in the past.
What do you hope to accomplish with your blog? to have a journal of the things going on around me and in my life.
What are your feelings on the "blog popularity" issue? it's not really important to me (well, apart from it will help me earn more if a lot of people visit my blog) because i mainly keep a blog for myself. it's just a bonus that people read your entires, visit your site, get entertained with what you write and that family abroad are updated with what's new.
What's your favorite childhood memory? vacations to victorias and spending time with grandparents.
If you were stranded on a deserted island what three things would you want to have with you? 1) toiletries 2) coke light (i don't drink water!) and 3) matches
Are you a spiritual person? i go to church. i read my bible. i sometimes attend bible studies. i pray and make sure i have a few minutes a day that i talk to God. if that makes me a spiritual person, then i am. =)
What is the weirdest thing that ever happened to you? Nothing weird so far.
What is your best quality? patient
What is your worst quality? being too nice
now im tagging: you!

carey cabins
i had so much fun looking through photos of mommy doc and daddy doc during their last vacation to the US. they had the chance to stay at Pigeon Forge vacation rentals with friends. the carey cabins they stayed at were beautiful. they had the perfect mountain view and they were able to capture really great sunset photos. they had all the amenities they would need and want. and since the cabin had a fully equipped kitchen, they were able to prepare their own food as well. another vacation destination added on my list!

business cards
i spent 2 hours online just browsing through business cards, i never thought it would be that hard to choose one. the design of the business card has a lot to say about the business or company. as what most people would say, first impression last. choosing the perfect design, paper and print was really difficult. especially, for someone like me who is not artsy. it's such a blessing that i had a lot of choices online or else i could have spent a day choosing the perfect business card.

SYNOVATE
since i work for an australian based company, it has not been easy to find information about the australian market. it is a blessing to find a market research company online that has an office in sydney. synovate is a blessing for us since they do a lot of work for us. they save us time, allowed us to generate more income and has easily customized their research work for our companies needs. the output has been great and in the short span of time that we have worked with them, the bosses have noticed a great deal of difference already. they have been pleased with the response we have been getting and the new business opportunities has been endless.
PENSRUS
my favorite freebie of all time are marketing pens. i think pens are the most useful giveaway tool. it is a great marketing strategy that would bring in more customer's and would make your company known in the market. pens are more importantly budget friendly. PENSRUS is an online store that offer a wide array of marketing pens. the styles available are really nice and they offer quality writing utensils.

Grey's is Love
i love grey's anatomy because it hits you. hits you real hard. the show puts me on this whirlwind ride of thoughts and emotions. it gives us a picture of how to face and cope with both the pleasant and HARSH realities of life, love, and career.
here are some of my favorites from the show.
On Boundaries:
At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines... that are way too dangerous to cross.
On Pain:
Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it, hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it, and life always makes more.
Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.
On Losing Control:
No-one likes to lose control…. It's a sign of weakness, of not being up to the task. And still there are times when it just gets away from you. When the world stops spinning and you realize that nothing you do is gonna save you. No matter how hard you fight it, you fall. And it's scary as hell. Except there's an upside to free falling. It's the chance you give your friends to catch you.
On Guilt:
We are left with a choice. Either let the guilt throw you back into the behavior that got you into trouble in the first place, or learn from the guilt and do your best to move on.
On Denial:
Sometimes reality has a way of sneaking up and biting us in the ass. And when the dam bursts, all you can do is swim. The world of pretend is a cage, not a cocoon. We can only lie to ourselves for so long. We are tired, we are scared, denying it doesn't change the truth. Sooner or later we have to put aside our denial and face the world. Head on, guns blazing. De Nile. It's not just a river in Egypt, it's a freakin' ocean. So how do you keep from drowning in it?
On Growing Up:
I've heard that it's possible to grow up - I've just never met anyone who's actually done it. Without parents to defy, we break the rules we make for ourselves. We throw tantrums when things don't go our way, we whisper secrets with our best friends in the dark, we look for comfort where we can find it, and we hope - against all logic, against all experience. Like children, we never give up hope...
On Greed:
I have an aunt who whenever she poured anything for you she would say "Say when". My aunt would say "Say when" and of course, we never did. We don't say when because there's something about the possibility, of more. More tequila, more love, more anything. More is better.
On Happiness:
Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.
On Effective Denial:
We deny that we're tired, we deny that we're scared, we deny how badly we want to succeed. And most importantly, we deny that we're in denial. We only see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe, and it works. We lie to ourselves so much that after a while the lies start to seem like the truth. We deny so much that we can't recognize the truth right in front of our faces.
here are some of my favorites from the show.

student loans
when i decided to take up my second degree, to study in the US was considered. it is expensive but i knew i could apply for a student loan. i started looking for school loan consolidation that i could apply for that would help me with finishing nursing school. having a consolidated loan was the best option i found bec it would give me a reduced monthly payments. other advantages were it offered flexible repayment options, to have an application approved was convinient, no application fees and prepayment penalties but most especially they provided with a low, fixed interest rate. which is very important for me. having available student loans is a blessing indeed because it gives everyone the equal oppurtunity of finishing school and having a brighter, better future. i wish we had such here in the philippines!
K9 Cuisine
i am no dog lover but when i chanced upon K9 cuisine,a leading website offering premium dog food and treats--i realized that dogs deserve the best too. i was amazed with the broad selection of natural healthy dog foods, treats, supplements and even grooming supplies. the website offers free deliveries for orders placed over $50.
for those dog owners who would like to give their dogs a treat, you will enjoy looking through the products they have available. K9 cuisine also offer for a refund if you and your dog is not satisfied with your purchase. this will give your dogs a "bow-wow" meal.

chris benoit
i am a wwe fan, so it came as a shock that chris benoit and family were found dead at their home in georgia. investigations have revealed that chris benoit killed his wife and their 7 year-old son. apparently, the police were alerted by wwe after people connected with the company received "curious" text messages from chris. i can't and will never understand on why he killed his son. it's just weird that wwe will give him a tribute--after what he did! i know i am in no position to pass judgement but to kill a 7 year old kid is totally inexcusable. i do hope authorities will look deeper into this. wwe stars are looked upon by a lot of people especially kids. Chris benoit is a popular wrestler. im pretty sure he is earning a lot. but with what recently happened, it only goes to show that money, fame, and fortune do not equal happiness in this world.

prophix
financial consolidation is one a very critical process of an organization. this is true not only for big companines but for those small companies as well. that is why having a financial consolidation software helps a company effectively manage consolidation cycle times and reporting processes without sacrificing vital controls or compliance with laws. having the software makes consolidating management and financial reports a breeze. thank God for this software from PROPHIX. if not for the software, i'ld probably never leave the office!

.::i hate wendy of pinoy big brother. if you watch pbb you will know what i mean. i do hope she gets evicted out of the house. i hate her. i hate her. i hate her.
.::with barely 3 hours of sleep i was awaken at 3:30 in the morning. the inconsiderate driver of our tenant was going out. to wake us up, he turned on the car's alarm. i think it woke up the whole barangay! for God's sake he could have waited for all the cars to get inside the garage since he knew he was going out early. take note, this is not the first time this happened! when my dad asked him on why he didn't just wait for everyone to get in he simply said he can't do anything because he was just a driver. if he can't do anything, we can. they are now not allowed to park their car inside the garage. who cares if they have to buy side mirrors every day (we live near banawe). the inconsiderate driver and his boss has to learn a lesson.
.::i have started reading review materails for the nursing board exam. im thinking of filing my resignation first week of july. by august im back to being an official bum. that means i won't have shopping money for the christmas season. boohoo.
.::happy birthday tomorrow to amboy! gawd, his 10 already. getting old. getting old.

Burn Notice
if i was a spy, one tool that is a must for me is a wrist watch digital camera. I want not the ordinary device from a James Bond movie but a real still video camera that is disguised as a watch. this spy device can collect all the evidence, proof or discreetly take snap shots. another must that would work well with my wrist watch digital camera is a digital vehicle tracing system for security and surveillance. spying and accomplishing dangerous missions is a breeze with all this devices. imagine a tracking system that has a tracking range of about 3 miles and monitoring up to 10 targets.
why the sudden dreaming for a spy device, it's all because of the new series that is to start on the 28th of June. USA Network's Burn Notice is one series i would surely not miss. The series which is created and written by Matt Nix, combines the best of the action/thriller elements with a mix of humor and an iconic new breed of spy. I have watched the series preview and this early i know that it is to be a sure hit! I can't wait to see the lead Michael Westen kills a person in 5 seconds with his thumb. that should be cool! with the lead being a hottie...that makes me all the more excited. teehee.

Way Back Into Love
I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need em again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

life insurance
one of the wisest investment you could make in life is a globe life insurance. in looking for an insurance company my main consideration is one that is affordable but could still provide with quality service. globe life insurance offers insurance coverage for both adults and children. you can never really prepare for what the future may bring but at least having something to fall back on is something one might want to consider.
John Stevens
the trip to the parlor last friday was a success!
for the longest time i have been wanting to have my hair rebonded. but because i have to have my hair on a bun during duty days, i had opted to just iron my hair when i want my hair down.
i was suppose to go to a korean salon tony and jacky in tomas morato but before i left the house i tried reading threads online of where i could get a good rebond at a fairly reasonable price. i read of john stevens. they were offering milk rebond and extenso. i then realized that they had a branch in retiro. it was half the price of a rebond with tony and jacky. i decided to try it, and boy am i glad i did!
love.love. my hair! i had to wait till i can shampoo my hair to write about it. after having a rebond treatment, you can't shampoo your hair for three days. it was only this morning that i shampood my hair and i still love the final outcome. everyone at work has been commenting on how good i look and how nice my hair is. they don't even believe me that i only spent Php2000 for my hair. my hair does not even look like i had it rebonded!
i was at the salon from 5 in the afternoon up to 10 in the evening but it was sooo worth it. ms joy took good care of me and my hair. she made sure that my hair color was not reacting to the hair treatment. she'ld always ask me if my scalp was itchy because that would mean that they'ld have to rinse my hair. she gave me tips on how to take care of my hair and suggested to go at least once a month for hair treatment. hair treatment would not cost more than Php400 so i guess if i want to maintain my nice hair i should really make it a point to see her once a month. everyone at the parlor was really nice and didn't complain that they had to stay late and wait for me to finish. ms joy asked me if i wanted to buy one of the products they were selling which actually came from china to put on my hair after drying my hair. she didn't force me to buy it but since i was interested with the product and i ended up buying one. i used it this morning and it made my hair more shiny.
if you need contact details of the salon just message me. if you'ld decide to go on a weekend i suggest that you make sure you have an appointment. the salon interior was not really nice but what the heck, as long as they give you value for your money service thats what's important. i will try to post pictures. john stevens have a lot of branches within the metro but i can't guarantee that the hair rebond treatment would be the same for every branch. i would highly recommend that you go to their retiro branch because ms joy is really good and she will really take care of you.

i don't have to go to work tomorrow. horray! that does not mean i have an extra day off though. an office mate just asked if i could work on saturday, so in exchange for that i don't have to work tom. yipee! saturday is a less stressful day especially since the bosses are not around--less work load too.
i could do more blog ops tomorrow and tonight since i don't have to worry about having to wake up early. plus, i could go to the salon for a much needed pampering. i have not gone to the salon for months now. the last time i had a hair treatment was february i think. i know that's bad. i just do home treatments. im thinking of having my hair rebonded tomorrow. but since i also have to start fixing my transcript i don't think i can stay in the salon for long. will see what happens.

since i now work in ortigas i have started taking the public transportation again. i don't think it is reasonable to have someone bring me to and from work bec gasoline has become very expensive. going to work is a breeze. my dad drops me off the mrt station and then i ride the shuttle to ortigas. going home though, i have no choice but to take the mrt.
even if the trip home is fast, i hate the mrt scene. i hate it that people all stay near the doors even if they get off on the last station. i hate it that everyone races out when they could just give way and get off in an orderly manner. i hate it that some people cut the line on going out of the station. i hate it that simple things like this make riding the train more complicated. going home is not suppose to be stressful.
i know everyone is rushing home but that is no reason to push other people and to act as if you are going to die if you are the last person off the train. take note, i get to observe this to happen every day. how i wish filipinos would learn to be more disciplined. or atleast learn to still practice discipline. we don't have to be in another country to be one!

grand bahama island
anyone out there who loves the beach would of course have on the list of beaches to go to the grand bahama island. since my previous post is about having a vacation, going for discovery cruise is something i would love to do after taking the board exams. i was thinking i would deserve the vacation if i pass the exams. just looking at the site would make you drool as the place is super b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
discovery cruise line is giving out a complimentary one day cruise for all the US military personnel who are serving in Iraq or Afgahnistan. i immediately thought of tito cookie who is now in iraq. he could being tita gemma to bahama island when he gets back. im pretty sure tita gemma would love the trip. and they truly deserve it since he has been gone for so long. i have to email tita gemma about this. and if you have any US military relative or friend serving in iraq or afgahnistan--spread the word!

i was thinking of going to bora alone. i want to go on a vacation alone.
why? i dunno.
i think it is healthy to be alone sometimes. the thing is i know i can survive being alone BUT who would take my pictures? how can i eat at true food alone? how can i party my heart out in bora alone? how can i ride the banana boat or go island hopping alone?
maybe i should just drop the idea of going to boracay and go to dumaguete alone instead.
at least when i get there, sassa would be there. then i would not be alone. teehee!

random stuff
~summer is official over. aside from the afternoon rain, a lot of the student's are back to school, but most of those in private schools will start school on monday. traffic this morning was bad. meaning, i have to wake up earlier than usual to be able to get to work before 8:30. :(
~it's the nursing board exam next week. i have 3 relatives taking the exam...that's why i opted to not take the exam. teehee. i don't think i can handle the pressure. what if they pass and i don't? a lot of friends from school are also taking the exam. i hope they all make it and pass. and then they could all pray for me as i take the exam next.
~i finished watching the first season of dawson's creek last night. hopefully i get to find time this week to watch the second season. and like grey's anatomy, i love the musical scoring of the series. kuya choi from work told me he could get me the dvd's for Php50 at quiapo. now i have to make a list of those i would want him to get me this weekend.
~i still don't know what to do with bogart :(

"What's worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should have healed years ago and never did? Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That's what we like to think. But that's not the way it is, is it? There are just some things we just have to learn over and over and over again."
"People have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret road maps of their personal histories. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don't. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cut's long gone, the pain still lingers."
~ Meredith Grey, Grey's Anatomy

a good friend from ibank who is now in the states emailed me that she has finally bought a house. she has been in north carolina for over 3 years and im so happy for her because her dream of owning a nc waterfront property has finally come true. the purchase of the property is a perfect timing as she and hubby is expecting their second baby this october. they didn't have a hard time looking for a house because they got a really good real estate firm that helped them in finding a a perfect property for them. my friend is insisting i go to the states and visit them. she is excited to see me but i think she is looking forward to me helping her take care of her kids. teehee.
i don't know on why he won for congressman for the first district of quezon city. the man is crazy. he has never done anything good for the district but tolerare the squatters.
that's the exact reason i prefered abe abesamis over bingbong crisologo during the last elections even if abe posted his posters on our front fence. atleast he was true to his word and had the posters removed hours after i went to his office.
i heard bingbong say on tv that the demolition of the squatters area along a creek in quezon city was illegal. didn't he even realize that those people are the ones who have illegal built their houses? i heard he has a big property along g.roxas in quezon city, i would suggest he just donate it and have the squatters now left homeless because of the demolition stay on his property.
how he acted was conduct unbecoming of a government official. watch the video and see for yourself what i actually mean. mind you, a few days before the said incident he also stopped a demolotion along e.rodriuez.

teak outdoor furnitures
we love staying in the garden. every time we have guests or even during those times that it is too hot to stay inside the house, we always stay in the garden. my mom would even sometimes say "let's eat outside" but that does not mean to actually dine in a restaurant but to have dinner at the garden. im sure my mom would love the teak outdoor furniture i found online. it's perfect for the garden. the furniture's they have are classic items but very elegant looking. i especially love the outdoor and patio dining sets that they have. what's great with the teak furniture's is that it ages gracefully meaning over time it develops a silvery gray patina that can be left in its natural state or revived to a warm honey glow with a light sanding or the application of a little teak oil. just what you'd want for outdoor furniture's.
just got back from the other house. was talking with tita nora--the best pianist i have ever known and i came up with a brilliant idea.
"A Night of Beautiful Music"
yep! i thought of setting up a bistro on the garage and garden for one night. i will be serving pastries, nachos, coffee, wine and beer. i will be charging a minimal fee for the show but, it will be so worth it because my tita is really good. the guests could also sing while she plays the piano. a night of beautiful music, good conversations, and a night to just relax and unwind.
hmmm...this will take a lot of planning but im hoping to pull this off before i start reviewing for the boards.

red sox
i am a boston red sox fan.
i used to not know how baseball works. i mean it was so much more complicated for me compared to basketball. after watching the movie angels in the outfield though a few years back, i got so interested with the game. i had to bug a cousin to explain it to me and now one of my dreams is to be able to watch a game live. one of my all time favorite team is the boston red sox. it's so cool that they are currently leading the series. i cant wait to finally have my red sox tickets and to be able to watch the game from the stands. the thought of this surely makes me happy and makes me look forward to the day i get to watch the game live.
one day i know this dream will come true. one day soon!

it has been tiring at work for the past two days. i always end my shift tired. sometimes stress could really get into you. the past two days has been really busy. i have a long list of things to follow-up and check. eeek!
it's a good thing i was able to meet up with friends for dinner. i have not gone out for weeks and it felt soooo good to be with friends. it was just suppose to be me and tita mai, but arlet texted me to say she was in galleria. it was an impromptu dinner but just the same i had fun.
it is back to reality tomorrow, hopefully i get to finish my "things to do list" by friday. i hope work is less stressful tomorrow--i wish!

bogart is now confined at gilmore general hospital (ggh). dr journey is the surgeon we choose for him. he had an operation this afternoon. aside from that he underwent so many tests already. up until 8pm last night, the doctor was still clueless as to what is wrong with him.
we went to ggh around 2 in the afternoon and we went home after 3 hours thinking that he was ok. but we were wrong. before 6pm we were on our way back to ggh. that was when we did an emergency baptism and named him bogart. we were really hoping we cld go home with him but dr journey advised that he be left behind for more tests.
i do hope the doctor finds out what's wrong with him. i hope he gets to go home tomorrow. im keeping my fingers and toes crossed that he be ok. im close to declaring bankruptcy because of the expenses but i don't really mind as long as he gets well.
get well soon bogart, my dearest computer.
teehee!
im not kidding about dr journey. the guy name of the computer technician is journey. here is an excerpt of a conversation i had with him about his name...
macy: kuya, what's your name?
computer tech: journey
macy: gerry?
computer tech: journey (and then he spells his name)
macy: ah! like (and then i start singing) "what a journey this has been.
and the end is not in sight" teehee!
anyhoo, i hope and pray that dr journey fixes whatever is wrong with bogart. or else i think i will have to buy a new one. well see what happens tomorrow.

im not kidding about dr journey. the guy name of the computer technician is journey. here is an excerpt of a conversation i had with him about his name...
macy: kuya, what's your name?
computer tech: journey
macy: gerry?
computer tech: journey (and then he spells his name)
macy: ah! like (and then i start singing) "what a journey this has been.
and the end is not in sight" teehee!
anyhoo, i hope and pray that dr journey fixes whatever is wrong with bogart. or else i think i will have to buy a new one. well see what happens tomorrow.

Still Alright
im so loving this song from Grey's Anatomy....
When everything you have goes away
You realize that nothing means a thing
Everything you thought was a big deal
Now you see it all and what is real
When all you have just falls apart
And nothing seems to work out right
And you're trying
You're still alright
When everything starts to feel the same
And everyone around you seems to change
You went along with me when things weren't right
And when the morning slowly fades to night
When all you have just falls apart
And nothing seems to work out right
And you're trying
When everything you have goes away
You realize that nothing means a thing
Everything you thought was a big deal
Now you see it all and what is real
When all you have just falls apart
And nothing seems to work out right

im so excited for the season finale of american idol. too bad i have work so i will have to miss the live telecast, boohoo!
i would have wanted for melinda to face off with jordin for the season finale. blake is good too but my bet to win american idol this year is jordin. she's really good! i mean she is so young but yet she has a very powerful voice.
and if i was to believe this, then jordin is the next american idol.

my computer is sick.
initial diagnosis is cancer of the power supply that has metastasized to the mother board. the power supply already underwent a bypass last weekend. a motherboard transplant is to be done this coming weekend. im keeping my fingers crossed that the operation be a successful one. i have been with out a computer since friday evening. well, technically i do have a computer because i have a laptop but i love my PC more. im really hoping for the best and i just wish i don't end up buying a new PC.

This is going to be onehellofaweek!
Monday was solely dedicated to completing OR cases. We spent the whole day (6am to 3:30pm) at Ospital ng Maynila. I didn't have breakfast and lunch. To make things worst i forgot to bring drinking water. And since we were assigned at the Operating room, we were not allowed to go out. I was tired, hungry and thirsty! It was almost 3 in the afternoon when we completed our cases. I finally had the chance to drink (LARGE COKE LIGHT!hooray!) at 4:30 in the afternoon. I really get tired after a day in the hospital. Work in the hospital is not only tiring physically but emotionally and mentally as well. We deal with people's lives. One wrong move and your entire career is over.
Tuesday is a back to work day for me. And even before i could call it a day, my manager has already asked me to come in early for the rest of the working week. Meaning i have to be at work by 7:00am and i get to go home at 5:30pm. oh, well.
It's only the second day of the weekbut i feel so tired already. I know that the coming days are going to be hectic as well. My aunt and uncle are arriving from the states tomorrow (yehey, to this!), work will keep me busy till Friday (boohoo!), it's mothers day on Sunday (don't forget to cook up a surprise for your mom's!) and then it's election day on Monday (go out and exercise your right to vote!).
I feel tired, yes. I complain, yes. But i like being busy more than doing nothing. So, bring it on!

bid4Prizes
I recently chanced up a cool website bid4prizes that allows you to bid on really nice items. It works like an auction but with a fun twist. The lowest unique bidder wins the item. Sweet! What makes it more interesting is that the dollar amounts in bids are phony meaning its just used to determine the winner of the prize. In reality, if you are the lowest unique bidder for a certain item, you get it for FREE. Super Sweet!
I was browing through the website and one of the items for bidding is the Panasonic and Bose DVD home theater system. This is really perfect for me and my family since we love watching movies at home. Its a perfect for family bonding! Imagine this, watching your favorite movie on your very own 42" high-definition ready plasma screen. Really cool! What's really nice about this is that i could have it for free. ooohhhh....love freebies! Go visit the site now and bid...bec i did!

i named a stray cat of ours prince. why? because my mom said i should not tell the cat he is ugly bec for all i know the cat when kissed can turn into a prince. a handsome prince at that. from that time on, i named the black skinny stray cat prince. of course, i don't believe my mom that prince will actually turn into a price. and i don't have plans of kissing him anytime soon just to prove to my mom that she will never be right about the cat being a prince. i just find it cute. i believe i have a knack for naming pets. we had dogs in the past i named "bakit" and "ewan". the next dog we will have (if we ever have one again but i doubt it) will have the name "pakialam mo".

Here is something from Mitch Albom's FOR ONE MORE DAY
and i read this somewhere....
When someone is in your heart, they're never truly gone. They can come back to you even at unlikely times.
and i read this somewhere....
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. Know a good thing when you see it and don't let it slip away. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. No one said it would be easy, they just said it would be worth it.
