Beach Mode

Was reading about Fort Walton beach and then I remembered I have never blogged about our Boracay vacation last July. My bad!

We came from Cebu on this trip to Boracay and stayed there for 2 nights. This was my 3rd time to Boracay and I still had fun. We stayed at The Tides on our first night and then at Swipers Inn on our second night. We discovered Swiper's Inn as we were just walking along station 1 in search for a place to stay in on our second night. We were not even sure if they were renting the rooms but we just had to ask because the location was perfect (beside Ambassador's hotel and Discovery Shores) and it had a beautiful view of the beach from the room. Good thing we asked because they were indeed renting the rooms, it was within budget and it was beautiful! Atleast I now know of a place on where to stay the next time we go back. Here are some pictures of our The Tides and Swiper's Inn for those who might be interested.

Destination Weddings

I think weddings are fun but destination weddings are extra fun because guests are flying in to wherever your wedding is not only to witness your wedding but to have a vacation too.

I remember a wedding I saw on our recent trip to the beach. It was beautiful! I never really wanted a beach wedding but after seeing that wedding, I have realized on why a lot of people opt to have a beach wedding.

The couple can not only have fun in the sun with their guests a few days before the wedding but also enjoy spa services, island hopping and other beach activities. You get to bond with your guests days before the wedding and even after. It would definitely make your wedding extra memorable for your guest.

El Dorado Seaside Suites – Riviera Maya is a perfect location for that destination wedding. A secluded white sand beach, great facilities and great food. It would surely complete a dream wedding for any couple.

Now I'm thinking of another wedding (to the same groom of course). I think I want a beach wedding this time.

Holy Week 2009

For 2007 & 2008, we went to Baguio for the Holy Week. For this year, we didn't want to go to Baguio anymore and wanted to go somewhere nearer for the long weekend. Unfortunately, all the resorts I called were already booked but my friend from high school can accommodate us for an overnight stay. Since it was only in Bataan, we decided to go even if it was just an overnight trip. We left Manila at around 7am of Sept 11.

On our way back to manila the following day, we of course went to Subic for some shopping. My cousin-in-law wanted to go to Tagaytay for that weekend because he had to look for horse supplies but everyone wanted to go to the beach so Bataan was the perfect place to go too.

Short vacation but super fun!

Holy Week...

We always make it a point to go out of town during Holy Week. I know that it's the best time to be in the city as everyone else is out of town, but this is also the only time most of my relatives are available to go on a two or three day vacation.

Last year, we went to Baguio. It was the same destination 2 years ago. I usually plan for our out of town trips but since I started planning late for this year, I had problems in booking resorts.

Luckily I stumbled upon a classmate from high school's facebook account and saw that they have a resort in Bataan. I immediately got in touch with her and booked our accommodation for the Holy Week. This is the first time in a very long time that we go to the beach so I'm pretty much excited. I'm thinking I might need appetite suppressant to lose some weight before we head off to the beach.

vacation, please!

i know that i just got back from boracay but with all the stress i am currently experiencing i have been dreaming already of going to another vacation. this time though, i want to go out of the country. i have recently been visiting the website of Riviera Maya Resort. love it. love it. they have a natural park which are their most popular attraction. they also offer other activities such as snorkeling, underground rivers, and swimming with dolphins. It offers a laid-back atmosphere with bars, restaurants and nightlife. PLUS, it is a shopper's paradise where you will find an endless selection of art, jewelry, Mexican crafts, souvenirs, as well as designer clothing. i wish i win the lottery and for sure i will immediately head off to this resort.
