Korean BBQ

Korean Barbeque
I was craving for korean food and since T is a good husband, he gave in to my craving and brought me to a korean bbq restaurant for dinner. We had so much fun cooking and then eating. T told me I should look into natural supplements for weight loss. It's funny how we always talk about losing weight and yet we end up eating so much especially during the weekends. It's just a good think we both try to eat less during the week. We just love discovering new restaurants and that is why we always end up eating out during the weekends.

Bai Plu

Chicken curry powder Fried Rice
Thai Moo Yang
Tiger Roll
It was about a month ago when T and I first tried the restaurant Bai Plu and now we are hooked. We have been going here at least once a week and we love the food. They serve Thai and Japanese food and so far everything we have tried is good. I can't wait till after I give birth so I can eat sushi again. I think we can eat here more than once a week but if we do so I will have to also buy best diet pills for women. The pictures I've shared are what we ordered 2 weeks ago. We went again last Sunday but didn't have a camera with me. We ordered green curry and it was really good. Now I'm craving for more green curry. Yum!

Ike's Place

We first learned of Ike's place after watching Man vs Food on TV. It was perfect timing because we were scheduled to go to SFO in 2 weeks so we took note of where it was. On our first day in SFO we went to the place and ordered a sandwich. It took a really long time for us to decide on what to order as they had a lot of choices. We then drove to the nearest park and ate our sandwich there. Each sandwich comes with a bag of chips. It was a big sandwich so we decided to just split the order. It was soooo good and worth the lining up and the wait. On our last day, we went back and had sandwich again for lunch. I would definitely need the best weight loss supplements after I give birth with all the eating I have been doing.

Firestone Grill

It was my first time to go camping and that would deserve a separate post but one of the highlights of this trip was dinner at Firestone Grill. T has told me about this restaurant and I must say food other than being affordable was really good! For dinner we ordered Tri-tip sandwich and a rack of beef ribs. It was sooo good. Serving was huge and we packed what was left with our beef ribs and had it for breakfast the next day.
Dinner was really good and we didn't even realize we have been at the restaurant for almost 2 hours already talking about Ferrari parts, what to do for the next day, and cupcakes. If it was not for the long line of people ordering and waiting to be seated we would have stayed.

Going Korean

Reading through articles about diets that work won't really work for me if we don't stop eating out. I should not really be dieting but atleast just watch out for what I eat.

One sunday evening, the husband and I had korean bbq for dinner. We were first thinking of ordering the set courses but then realized that it was going to be cheaper if we order for eat all you can. same food is to be served and we would get to save almost $10.

It was a yummy dinner ofcourse and I was reminded of all the korean telenovelas I've watched and the food trips I had with my friends back in manila wherein we had a chance to eat at an authentic korean restaurant at Malate.
We didn't even order for a refill of the meat platter. The korean waiter even asked us if we were sure that we didn't want a refill. It was indeed a yummy dinner and we went home really full.

Sushi Iki

Early January when T invited his cousin for dinner at Sushi Iki. T in the past has told me that Sushi Iki is the best Sushi restaurant ever. The restaurant is a small one a but is a very busy one especially on weekdays. It was my cousin who first introduced T to Sushi Iki.
Eddie owns Sushi Iki and if you sit by the bar you don't only get to eat good food but get lots of stories from Eddie himself. We had Omakase for the night. Omakase is when the chef just serves you anything and everything until you say you are done. We had about more than 10 different kinds of sushi that night and I must say it is the best Sushi I have ever had. The produce used were all fresh. I got to take pictures of some of the food we had but my pictures don't do justice of how good the food was.

For that night I totally forgot that I was trying to lose weight! The sorbet was a good way to finish the meal. It was worth the one hour drive to LA and we will surely go back.

Ruby's

I swear I would need the best weight loss supplements available in the market with all the eating I have been doing.

A few days after Christmas T and I went malling and then had snacks at Ruby's. I love their milkshake (I got chocolate and banana) and garlic fries that came with our sliders. As most restaurants, they offer a huge serving so T and I just split an order. We not only save money but we are also not tempted into eating more than what we should.

Love this diner and would surely go back!

Shakeys!

I'm not a fan of Shakey's but for the sake of trying and comparing we decided to have dinner at Shakey's one Sunday night after church.

The verdict? It was the same. Nothing special. The only difference I think is the signage and that the chicken here is bigger. Teehee. It was still a great dinner. Every time spent with T is wonderful, of course. We also got to work on the directory submission I had to complete. Thanks to the available WIFI service. Oh, I did love the mojo's though. YUM! It was really good especially with the ice cold root beer.

Home Sweet Home

My mom's sister arrived from the US last week and before heading to Dumaguete she stayed for a week here in Manila. She had errands to do in Makati and she didn't want to stay here in QC so she decided to rent a condo unit in A. Venue Suites. I stayed with her for the whole week so the QC girl was a Makati girl for a week. The condo she rented was fully furnished but since we didn't like the hassle of cooking, we always ate out. Good thing the condotel is right beside a mall so we had plenty of options.
I missed home cooked meals but had trying out new restaurants too. If you happen to be near Makati Ave, you might want to go to A. Venue and try the restaurants Fluke and Foccacia. Foccacia for their pizza's and pasta. Fluke for the close to home food they serve. They have really good mini burgers, tacos and other rice dishes. Got to try Botongs also and OkiOki. All the time I was there I was thinking I'ld need fat burner pills with all the eating I was doing. Good thing I brought a swimsuit so I was able to do some swimming to burn all those calories.
I'm now back at home and eating what home cooked meals. Hopefully, I get to continue with my "diet".

Anzani

On our first night in Cebu, we visited a friend who just gave birth and then had dinner with 2 other friends after. T read of a Mediterranean restaurant that sounded familiar and then realized I have read Anton's blog about it a few months back. Since we wanted to try new things, We then decided to just have dinner there as it was really close to our friends house. A friend who was with us also had to drop a cousins house to drop off the the acne products we had to bring.
Anzani is a New Mediterranean Cusine restaurant located along Nivel Hills, Lahug ( I believe this is the same road that should lead you to "Tops" and it's near Marco Polo Hotel). The restaurant was beautiful, no doubt. I was really looking forward to a wonderful dinner. We asked a lady server of what their bestseller's are but she replied with everything on the menu was their bestseller. I was not going to buy that. Good thing, their was another server who was able to help us with our food selection for the night. The ambiance was really nice. Food was good. It was not something I will crave for our come back for but it was good. Servings were big so we decided to eat family style. But oh, let me just say the dessert was a disaster! I know it would be unfair to say that since we only ordered for one from the many choices they had but I just got to say that it was really bad for me. Sorry!

free appetizersflat bread (forgot what we picked but this had salmon)a pasta and chicken main coursesteak and pasta side dish for TAzani Bomb (but a big flop for me!)
Overall, It was a good dining experience. The place was cozy, nice and quiet. It was a wonderful way to start our 3 day Cebu visit and a nice way to end the evening.

IL Terrazzo

If you live in Quezon City and you've tried all the restaurants in Trinoma, I suggest you head to IL Terrazzo in Tomas Morato (in front of Burgoo and near ABSCBN). Their are about 8-10 restaurants you can try including Omakase (really good Japanese restaurant), Banapple, Aresi (it's back!), 8 spices and Pink Pepper. At the basement is Rustan's grocery. They have a basement parking that uses car lifts. We hope to try all the restaurants soon. Im just glad that Banapple is now near where i live and that Aresi is back.
