Tuano Family

Tetet posted this on the family egorup--and i love it! We have to think of a theme for Christmas 2006...221 day's till next Christmas!
Spoiler Alert: looks like its Kat and Taylor (yehey!) for the final 2! click
here for voting results.

"Have a Good Time Funny Taylor" is my American Idol!

I would like to think Elliot is going to make it too but it seems that he doesn't have the looks to be an American Idol.

I loved McPhees's Somewhere Over the Rainbow rendition but other than that it was--blah!

I don't care on who makes it between Yamin and McPhee as long as Taylor makes it,I'm one happy girl!

Happy Mother's Day! We had lunch at Chili's Morato. We went early since we know (from past experiences) that restaurants are full during special occasions. I brought my camera, wanting to take pictures but I took one picture lang the whole time. We had salad and baked mussels for appetizer. I had pork with cheese and veggies that I harldy ate for main course. I was so full at the end of lunch. Buti na lang we decided to eat lunch out not dinner or else it will take me the entire evening to digest the food. I hardly ate dinner nga din kasi super busog pa. To end the perfect lunch is ice cream! SARAP!

Mother's day is special, has always been and will always be. So to all the Mommy's in my life, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

i love you sabado, pati na din linggo!

what makes me love this weekend the more is it has been raining since yesterday! horray! kakahiya man aminin, buhay BABOY ako yesterday. After work, i just slept the whole afternoon. had dinner with my dad around 7pm. watched TV and then was in dreamland before 10pm. I didn't do anything school related which is bad. I have to catch up on reading for my med-surgical subject. Oh well, i have the whole weekend to do this. not unless antukin nanaman ako.

tomorrow is Mother's Day, will probably be going out for either lunch or dinner.

i am an addict! i finished one season of grey's anatomy last monday and i can't wait to watch season two. The season one dvd had a few episodes of season two and the last cd was super bitin! kainis.

now that Chris has been voted out of American idol, I am wishing that Taylor wins.

i think i am not making any sense with this post. i always seem to be lost. anyhoo, happy weekend all and happy mother's day to all the momma's! *kisses*

A long overdue post. The Tuano's trooped to Cabanatuan for an overnight stay (april 31 to May 1) in Acropolis. Sorry for the dark photos, i used my dad's camera (yeah, blame it on the camera!).

I filed for new work schedule after I have finalized my school schedule. After the new work schedule was approved, my professor decides to change the time our classes start. From 10am to 9am...i get off from work at 9am. kaasar!

I hate, hate the idea of going to school pag summer. Suprisingly, I am SO FAR enjoying my class. My teacher is super funny and even if our lectures are during hours wherein you would rather sleep, he tries his best to have lively classes. Para lang ako nanonood ng cartoons while he lectures. Why? he looks like shrek according to one of my classmates. In fairness, ang cute nya (cute in the sense na parang cartoons)!

TV Shows

I am predicting that Kelly will be voted out of american idol later. Time for her to go. I think that this year's winner will either be Chris, Taylor or Elliot.

Shoot Me! I watched PBB Teen Edition last monday and tuesday evening. And have decided not to watch it anymore. Feeling ko lahat ng bata doon iiyak and will reveal something about themselves to get attention. My mom calls one of the girls "laglag balikat". She always wears off- shoulder shirts. Parang lagi daw may party. I know they will all end up as "artista" as they get out of the PBB house. And as all newspaper write-ups put it, lahat sila "artistahin". I wonder what's next after the teen edition. How about PBB Retired Edition? teehee!

I have not been watching amazing race because the racers are boring. Weird because I have always loved the show. I just don't know if it's with the racers and the show or it's just me.

I think I have been in my laziest mode for the past 2 weeks. I have not done anything school related even if I still have to finish my return demo for school. I have to start fixing my things for school. Books and photocopies are all over my room (ok, kindda exaggerated bec my mom will kill me if my room was in a mess). I have to sort the photocopies and put them in brown envelop and keep them. I will be needing them as I start reviewing for the board exams. sheesh!

Inspite of being in my lazy mode, I have enrolled last Monday for summer classes. So, as much as I want to be in this state of doing nothing I too have no choice but to get back to my senses--SOON!

Anyways, I went out of town over the weekend! I had the chance to spend time with relatives from my dad's side. It was so much fun. Traffic going home was terrible as we went back to Manila Sunday afternoon. I was not able to take too much pictures though, kasi nga tamad. Anyways, pictures are posted here. During the short stay, I was able to meet long lost relatives. I met 2 of my second cousins who are in Nueva Ecija from Boston for a vacation. I promised to bring them around before they leave, but I haven't actually called them. Bad! I have not met their mom. And their lolo who is the brother of my lolo got lost daw dati. They didn't really know where he went. Tapos my greatgrandmother had a dream that he was buried in a certain cemetery, I can't remember where. But when they (my greatgrandmother and greatgrandfather) went there, that lolo of mine was buried nga doon. Parang ang labo ng story ko. teehee! Anyways, my tito's and tita's were talking about a reunion that they want to have. As in have everyone in the states go home. That would be fun! I hope it pushes through.

I had a great time watching AI yesterday afternoon. I think this is the best show this season so far. I look forward to watching the results show later as Rod Stewart is performing. Im so happy I don't have school and that I get to watch later.

Ciao!

When my sister left for the states, I felt really sad. But I was happy for her because I knew that she was doing something she really wanted. And that she was going because she had to live her dreams.

Someone really close to me has moved. Actually, two people very close to me. It’s weird because I never thought it was going to be this difficult. We have talked about it in the past but now that it is actually happening, it's really not easy.

Bheng and Amboy are moving.

I have seen Amboy grow up. It was just like yesterday when we visited Bheng in the hospital as she gave birth to Amboy. I was witness to his baptismal, first hospitalization, birthday's, first day in school, field trips, recognition day, graduation day, atbp. We do fight. In fact we always do. Lagi ko din sya inaaway, but I know that he knows that I care and love him dearly.

After Mimi went to the States and Sassa left to go back to Bacolod, it was just Bheng and I left in the compound. Of course I equally felt sad when the two left but it's different now that it is Bheng's turn to leave. I guess it's because she is doing it with a heavy heart. Bheng has been there for me in all good times and bad. She is my videoke partner and for more than a year we have both discovered are fondness for RHB. She has been there to hear on all my rants. We would laugh together and cry together. She is a sister to me and I am to her.

I know that she has to do this. Her heart might be against doing it but right now if she thinks that this is what's best for them, all I can do is to support her.

They have only been gone for a day, but it seems like they have been gone for weeks! My mom during breakfast this morning said that she was so used to Amboy going home to the province on school breaks and it was sad since sya lang ang bata sa compound. But now that we know he is not coming back in June just makes it worst. And then she said “Ngayon nga lang ako nagkaroon ng apo na mabait, umalis pa”.

They are just a phone call and text message away. I can visit them but nothing beats to just having them next door. I will miss you both dearly...I am actually missing you now. It will take sometime before I get used to not having you next door. After 8 years ba naman! Wala na akong screen door na hahampasin…wala na akong tambayan…wala na akong kasama sa mga mcdonald’s midnight snack…wala na ako pupuntahan pag ayaw ko ulam sa house namin. It will be one quiet compound.

Amboy, you stay good. Study hard and kick a** in your new school. I may not be around to tutor you, but I will always be around to pray for you.

Bhenggay, no words will be enough to express how much I appreciate you. You remember this, the hell with what other people might think or say. People who love you and truly care for you understands and that’s what matters. I will always be here. Sabi mo nga, text-text aww na lang.

I love you both and miss you badly. Till our next inuman session.

Katie Couric, one of my favorites is leaving the "Today" show. It was so sad to watch her say her goodbye on TV yesterday. I love watching today. I remember that I used to think that Matt Lauer and Katie Couric were dating (I know, so Filipino!). She will anchor a 60 minute evening news program in CBS--the first woman to do so in the states. She is leaving the show in May and I am pretty sure that it will be exciting to watch the today show in the coming days as they cook up surprises for Katie. It's nice that they could actually say goodbye to viewers and say straight on where they are actually transferring. So unlike here in the Philippines, magugulat ka na lang lumipat na ung talent.

My cuzz, Tetski celebrated her 20th (*winks*) birthday Wednesday evening at 6 Underground. She had a theme for her birthday--statement shirts. I was not able to buy a shirt for her birthday and decided to make use of the iron-on paper I have at home. But, the iron on paper didn't work so I ended up taping my statement on my shirt. And my statement for the night, "ang pinsan ko ay isang rockstar!" it was so fun, and I too had a mini concert (teehee!). And since it was Pashy's bday the next day, we had dinner at the condo courtesy of Pashy. Will post pictures after my cousins post them. I was lazy to bring a camera.

I was chatting with a friend about a week ago about American Idol. One of my favorites is Mandisa but that I knew she would not win. I felt that she was not "American Idol" material. And I was right. She was voted off the competition last night. I did not expect her to be voted off so early in the competition though. I guess it was the song choice that got her. Oh well, that's life. My favorites now will be Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry. I want Bucky out next.

Amboy went with my dad to get the van my dad bought. After they got back, we had this conversation:

me: amboy, san ka galing?
amboy: kasama ko si Lolo Ben.
me: saan tanong ko hindi sino kasama mo! san ka nga galing?
amboy: bumili ng kotse! (sabay walkout)

hehehe...parang bumili lang sya ng candy sa tindahan?

You and Me by Lifehouse

"Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you"

For you, love is very intense and a little difficult to express.

The Heat Is On!

Summer is soooo here! I don't know if it's just me, pero super init na talaga. And to think that summer has just began. I am starting to think of ways on how I could survive summer. I have been taking a bath no less than 3 times a day. I have come to realize that one of the main reasons I got sick aside from not getting enough rest is because my office is freezing cold tapos by the time I go home and go out of the office, super init naman! My mom has even suggested that we eat breakfast and dinner sa garden. So, we literally eat out everynight! teehee! I like it din, kasi nga super init sa loob ng house. We also bring a TV outside and that's where we stay for a few more hours after dinner.

And since I was sick over the weekend, I was not able to do anything school related other than to read a book for an exam I had yesterday. With that and 5 more school days left, I am so dead! I was thinking that I was gonna do them earlier when I got home from work. But I was so sleepy and decided to take a nap (haha!). Now I have no excuse to sleeping early later.

It was amboy's recognition ceremony at school yesterday. He got the St. Dominic Award, an academic award and Lea received a homeroom award ( I am one happy tutor!). Sobrang laughing trip pa kami ni Bheng. As one of students was saying the closing prayer I decide to walk out of the auditorium. Bheng followed and we decided we will just wait for amboy outside the hall. After awhile, it seemed na everyone was out na and we still have not seen Amboy. Tapos we saw him looking like this....

Teehee! all the while, he thought we left him already. Kawawang Bata! Anyhoo, here are more pictures of the recognition ceremony.

I slept for 15 hours last Sunday.

I have never felt so tired. When I got home Sunday morning, all I wanted to do was sleep. Since thursday evening, I have been going to the hospital for hospital duty. Duty starts at 10pm up to 6am. I am used to working at night since i used to have night shift at work, but I don't know. Working in the hospital is more tiring than just sitting infront of the computer and taking calls. Plus pa siguro that I came from work thursday so I didn't have sleep tapos I had to wake up by 12 noon pa on friday and saturday bec I had to tutor Leah.

I have to finish 15 deliveries for my rotation this semester. I hope on finishing it before next semester because by then I would have to cover 5 major operations and 5 minor operations. My group originally wanted to go to Fabella and finish the cases their but school assigned us instead at Mandaluyong City Medical Center.

So I had 3 sleepless nights. It was very tiring but super sulit. My groupmates though found a way to catch some sleep in between deliveries, and I had the time of my life taking their pictures...

Tapos, I am not feeling well pa. hay...can't wait for Holy Week!

One Half!

Tita A asked me last night to ask Nina (my niece) what her nationality was. So I approached Nina and asked her:

Me: Nina, are you Filipino?
Nina: Nope!
Me: No? E ano?
Nina: ( She is 6 so I am assuming that she does not know the concept of one half pa) I am one-half Filipina, one half American and one half queso de bola!

Me: Ah ganun...si Dada ( his dad), he is not pure Filipino also.
Nina: Talaga? Ano naman si Dada?
Me: Dada is one half Filipino and one half Mila's Lechon (ngek!)! I pray Bok is not reading this....

Here is a picture of Nina and Bok...para ma gets nyo bakit one half queso de bola and one half mila's lechon sila. Teehee!

"I was normal once, but I didn't like it."

I am abnormal. In so many ways I am. And sometimes even if I want to be normal and I act like one, I end up being abnormal. I think being normal is boring, and maybe that is the same reason why I didn't like it.

**********

Mandisa in American Idol, rules! She is so good (for me), that I think she is the best American Idol finalist ever. She needs to survive the next 12 weeks though...well I wish she does. To watch her performance is something I will look forward too for the coming weeks.

**********

I have 10 nursing care plans (NCP) to submit for my maternity class before the end of the month. I am targeting on doing at least 1 NCP a day. I can't wait for the semester to end.

**********

My team manager is leaving the company. It is sad to know that as I come in to work on Monday, I will not see her anymore. I pray that in time, she gets the recognition she deserves. God bless, TM!

I love being home Saturday morning! ER marathon, staying in bed late, and knowing I really have nothing to do. oppss...I do pala, I have school work to do. oh well, I deserve a break. I will do them later! ciao!

>>We had our capping, pinning and candle lighting ceremony last tuesday. The priest who officiated the mass kept on saying "the graduates" as he addressed us. It felt like a graduation ceremony. Pictures posted at my multiply site.

>>Sway, the only filipino on american idol sang his last song earlier. He was voted out of the show. SAYANG! i think he is a good singer...he sang the wrong song last night though.

>>Taas ang kamay ko kay Rustom Padilla. It is common knowledge that he is gay. Tanga na lang ang maniniwala na tunay syang lalaki. But to admit it in national television is a different story. I think mas lalaki pa sya sa ibang mga lalaki. Taas nanaman ng rating ng DOS!

>>I have been thinking a lot lately. I know that I have decided to pursue my nursing studies and that I will finish it. I am still decided on finishing it, passing the local board exams and passing all the exams i have to take to finally go abroad and work there. I am planning to practice nursing and to work as a nurse. BUT. While waiting and finishing school I want to apply for higher position din sa office. School has stoped me from doing so the past months. I know I stand a chance naman but I just hesitate on applying because I am afraid na baka hindi ko mabigay yung 100% ko because I have school pa. Ahay...ano ba ang dapat ko gawin?

>>Oh yes! I want to join amazing race asia---I want! I want! I have actually downloaded the application form from the website already. I have been reading the requirements all morning in the office. Nuninuninu!

I.survived.

Last week was midterm exam week. I am just glad it's over. It is hard to balance work, tutoring, school, hospital rotation and living a life, hahaha! I have not been to the malls for weeks. I have not had the chance to watch a movie. The dvd's I bought almost a month ago, I still have not had the chance to watch. I have not even gone to the salon for some pampering.

BUT!

we had a party to celebrate my dad's birthday last Feb 14. It was a small party with family and friends from church. We played pinoy genio (thanks to p.james for facilitating the game). It was a fun party!

AND

I was able to get to enjoy a basketball game I watched with my dad. Thanks to Ate Emma for the free tickets of game 4 of the fiesta conference. I had sooo much fun. It was a post valentines date for me and my dad. Of course purefoods won that night (I have been a purefoods fan since grade school) but they eventually lost the series (red bull won 4-2). Oh well, till next conference.

happy birthday TEMS! I will ask mommy to either buy pansit (pansit nanaman!) or pasta tonight to celebrate your birthday with cake. It has been a while since you last celebrated your birthday with us. I do hope though that you have fun on your day. Hope to see you soon....pag nurse na ako, teehee! I miss you and I love you.

Feb 13, 2006

i was prepared to start duty at the OB ward saturday morning. but to our surprise (dismay), the hospital's chief nurse told us that she is moving our duty assignment from OB ward to the ER and DR.

i hate ER. for one i do not know what to expect. ER is the busiest department in the hospital. cases vary from very simple colds and flu to stroke cases or patients who got into accidents (stab wounds, gun wounds and the list goes on). plus i am not ready to assist in delivering babies either. but i don't really have a choice. we were assigned to stay at ER every satruday and then DR on sundays.

good thing saturday was a breeze. cases were not as difficult as what i imagined. nurses and doctors on duty were all nice. We were allowed to go home early. I had time to read my books on delivery and childcare. trying to prepare myself for what can happen the next morning.

sunday, at exactly 6am we were at the hospital already. before 7am, our clinical instructor has instructed us to proceed inside the delivery room and change to our scrub suit. had our orientation and 20 mins after orientation--our first mommy is being wheeled to the delivery room. my whole group was excited ok scared and excited. it took patient # 1 almost 30 mins before she actually delivered the baby boy. after 10 minutes another mommy delivered a healthy baby boy, this was handled though by st jude. after around an hour my whole group was called back to the delivery room for yet another delivery. this time we felt more excited than scared. we more or less knew what to expect. a healthy baby girl was again brought to life. we all offered to be Godparent's to the baby girl. it was also the first baby for the mommy so you could just imagine the joy and excitement inside the delivery room. happiness abounds!

i had one reaction as all these unfolded right before my eyes--GANUN PALA YUN and GOD truly is amazing. imagine a woman carrying a baby on her womb for 9 months (at least) tapos seeing the baby come out of her. it was truly an experience i would never forget. the joys of being in the medical field! knowing that you helped and contributed to the delivery of the baby is one thing but the smile on the mother's face as they see their baby is another.

imagine the patient has to endure the pains of labor as they do not have money to pay for anesthesia. to quote my clinical instructor "pain more since they pay less. it's painless if they pay more". it was scary...yes it scares me to have a baby. not to have a baby of my own i guess but to go through labor and delivery.

but my hospital exposure last saturday makes me realize that i "might" actually like nursing. this profession gives you a different level of satisfaction. that everyday is a learning experience. that everyday offers you something new. i am still not looking forward to the ER exposure on saturday but i am so excited for the DR exposure on sunday. bring it on!

SHOUT OUT: Happy Birthday,POPSIE! (feb 14)
Belated Happy Birthday,
MYKE! (feb 9)

i pray for comfort for the families who lost a loved one because of the ultra stampede.

i know times are hard and people went to ULTRA for they thought they could be overnight millionaires or atleast they get to bring home some money.

may this serve as a lesson and not just a tragedy we will forget after one week.

we should realize that giving away prizes at a snap of a finger will not alleviate poverty in our country. i think it will promote laziness amongst our countrymen.

i pray...i pray....

police mobile QC-23--HULI KA!

quezon city pick up girls were right infront of you as you parked your mobile car infront of them, you did not do anything.
they were trying to get customers, it was as if you saw nothing.

as police officers i know that you know that they are not supposed to be there. i wonder when will city government do something about quezon city prostitution. it is very rampant and if you pass by quezon ave at night till early morning you surely won't miss them. i hope someone does something about this (wishful thinking).

hospital scene for the week:

a patient was confined bec of a carbuncle (you would not want to know what it looks like,i swear!). the doctor then asked us (nursing students) on who would want to help him dress the wound. classmate A was very excited and offered to help the doctor. the doctor then asked her to grab a mask and to follow him. we all then followed the doctor (usisero ang pinoy!). when classmate A saw the patient i was so sure she wanted to back out. doctor told her she needed clean gloves, she then went out to get one. we were all waiting for her to come back when i suddenly saw classmate B going inside the patient's room. he looked clueless on what he had to do. he asked us on where the doctor was and he then approached the doctor. he then assisted the doctor on cleaning and draining the carbuncle (you would not want to know the details of it). it kept me wondering on what happened to classmate A. during lunch break, one of the classmates explained that classmate A told classmate B that doctor needs him. classmate A also informed classmate B to wear a mask and gloves. so he was really clueless and was left without a choice as he assisted the doctor with cleaning up the patient. smart move for classmate A, hahaha!

Your dream lover: Is both caring and dominant

What you bring to relationships: Romance

Jan 24, 2006

im happy...overjoyed...tickled pink...ecstatic...i honestly had a smile on my face the whole afternoon and evening.

to say that i was surprised is an understatement--i was blown away.

thank you for you made my day.

Jan 23, 2006

i saw how a baby who was 28 weeks old fought to live and eventually died.

it made me realize how short life is. it made me realize how lucky i am that i am able to experience how it is to live. and that even if life is not a bed of roses--life is beautiful.

at one point, i thought of why such a young baby should be inside an incubator fighting to live. on why his parents didn't bring him to a bigger hospital where he had better chances of living. but then again he did serve a purpose. he gave his parents a lesson. he gave everyone around him that day a lesson. he may have lived for only 11 hours, but in those 11 hours he has touched my heart.

i will not understand right now how it is to lose a child. i will not understand the pain his parents felt. what i know is that his parents may have lost a son but they have earned an angel in heaven.

and to you chester bryan (we baptized him!), my prayers will always be with your family that you have left behind. that your bothers and sisters will live a good life. and that in time no one else will die because of ignorance and poverty.

i don't feel like im 27...

alot of people say i don't look my age (tee hee!) and that i look younger (ahem, this is my blog and i am allowed to write anything, hehehe).

when i woke up on my birthday, i actually can't believe that i was already 27. i can still remember my 18th bday. i can still remember my birthday when erap was ousted from office. how time flies! but then again wether you like it or not everyone has to grow old.

i had fun this year though. unlike last year when i had a very quiet birtday. this year it was back to normal since i again had a small party at home. it was a very long day though...my day started at 4.30 am--how i wished i could still stay in bed but since my leave from work was not approved i was left without a choice. i bought red ribbon spaghetti for the people in the office and then after work we went to terriyaki boy for lunch. i headed home right after and prepared for the party at home for family. after dinner we went to sienna high school fair for about 30 mins (grabe, blast from the past!). rode the caterpillar with cousins--ang saya! went back home...had some drinks. and party/birthday ended past twelve. kawawa lang kasi two of my cousins lost their side mirrors! thats the disadvantage of living near banawe. had the chance to sleep before 2am na and then i had to go to duty at 6am the next day. but i am not complaining. i had a great day..feels good to be 27 and i am looking forward to a wonderful year!

on my post christmas and birthday wish list

i want this phone!!!!

wowo and wawa

December has always been special. Aside from Christmas, December is also the birth month of wowo and wawa.

it's has always been nice to see old people in love. i love seeing my wowo and wawa together. wawa would not eat if wowo was not yet home. wowo would not eat if it was not wawa who prepared the food or at least supervised the cooking. wawa would be waiting for wowo if he goes out to play cards or golf with friends.

i had a groovy wowo. a grandfather who wears levis maong jeans, colehaan shoes, benetton, ralph lauren and lacoste shirts. not only was he groovy but also he was the best golfer his age. i remember during my cousins wedding my wowo was so tensed as he was to walk her down the aisle. he kept on asking me if he looked old with his barong and i kept on telling him that he looked 60 and could still pass as my cousins dad.

i had a wonderful wawa. the best cook! she had the best stories and she was someone you could just sit with for hours and you’d never notice time pass by. i remember her bringing us to the "palengke" every time we were on vacation and of how proud she was of her apo's. my wawa had a big heart...a very big one.

i miss having my grandparents...i uberly miss going to Victorias on summer break or Christmas break. i miss wowo going to manila every so often. i miss going to sm city and eat halo-halo with him at icebergs. i miss bringing him milk at night. i miss the inasal and pandesal he would bring home every afternoon every time we were on vacation. i miss wawa's afternoon stories. and on how she supported us when we were selling mais con hielo one summer vacation. i miss her love and affection. i miss going to church with her.

my wawa had a battle with liver cancer; wowo had lung cancer. wowo had a stroke during wawa's wake. he was never able to recover probably mainly due to depression. he left us a year and 3 months after wawa.

often times i wish i had the chance to spend more time with them. and that i have told wowo and wawa how much i love them and how special they are to me. i sometimes think on how great it could have been if my children to be could meet their great grandparents. but all i have now are stories/memories to share and values to impart.

in my grandparents i saw what real love is (well, aside from my parents). i saw in them how it is to be old and in love. what we are now i know we owe to them. they have instilled in us the importance of family.

i heart you wowo and wawa. i will see you both again.

Dec 17, 2005

after completing the 21 stickers and gaining 20 lbs (exagerration!), i finally got hold of my starbucks 2006 planner yesterday morning.

now my sister is asking me to help her complete the stickers....and since christmas season naman i think i have a reason to gain a few more pounds, hehehe! cheers to more toffe nut latte and hot peppermint mocha!

shoutout: happy birthday to mama grace and dennis!

i cried the other night...

the other night's end to the amazing race family made me cry. and by far, this season though the most boring (for me) is also the most heart warming. i would have wanted the gaghan's to win, but since they lost early on the game, i thought i would not find any group that i would want to win. i was wrong! i saw myself cheering for the bransen's and hating the weavers (good thing they came in last!).
the linz finished the last task first and ended up winning but i guess the real winner of the day was the bransen's. they are winners bec at the end of the race they have realized how special their dad is to them. and how much their dad treasures them and how much he tried to finish the race with the girls. at some stages of the game he did have a hard time catching up with the girls. i was so touched when the three girls with their dad was running to the finish line, holding hands and reminding him of how proud the girls were of him. awww....such a touching scene. how i wish they would have won the million dollars but then again it's not all about the money.

THIS IS IT!!! i will hopefully graduate by 2007. long way to o...so many things to study, accomplish and complete but i know with God's help i can finish.

chimpmunks roasting on an open fire...christmas is so near! i had my first christmas party last saturday for 2005--NCO's white christmas at party central. haloween party was more fun though...but more friends came to the christmas party. after the party we went to guilly's for some more partying. pictures posted here.

PANIC MODE. malls are packed everyday and i have not done any christmas shopping yet. goodluck sa akin. ugh!

Clinical rotation has started already. first on my rotation is community rotation. i had to miss work for 2 days because the schedule was moved 1pm to 8am. so thursday morning, i headed to Caloocan community health department. ate emma (classmate and school partner in crime) and i got there early, had to wait for the instructors to arrive, wait again for the other students to finish their orientation, wait some more and finally at 10 am orientation started. we didn't have a hard time going home thursday so i was pretty confident that we won't have a hard time going home the next day either. i was SO wrong. from the city hall of caloocan we took a tricycle since we could not find an available cab. we asked the trike driver to bring us to where we could get a cab. in 10 minutes we were in God know's where, 50 pesos poorer but still no cab in sight. but meron ulit trike! so we asked again where he could bring us na may cab and the manong driver said he could bring us to 5th ave. that sounded good because that would be near c3 already. so we rode the trike again, this time on our way to 5th ave. 40 pesos poorer, we got to 5th ave. but with the rain to blame, wala pa din cab. ate emma was in a hurry bec she still had to go to work and i too. but i guess a bit of luck was still on our side, a tricycle was again in sight!

me: manong, hanggang saan po ang biyahe nyo?
driver: saan ba kayo?
me: sto domingo, quezon ave po kami e.
driver: sige, sakay na. hatid ko kayo dun

shocked, i rode the trike and in 10 minutes i found myself along del monte. ate emma dropped me off, manong dropped her off sto domingo corner quezon ave. para kami nasa amazing race!

happy weekend!!!

Nov 4, 2005

looong weekend....nah!

life can sometimes be unfair. while everyone else had to enjoy long weekends (last weekend and this weekend), i like everyone else who works for call centers had to go to work. boo! buti na lang may extra pay...atleast may konting motivation!

it was my first halloween party with rmh and it was fun! party was the 30th of october and we partied till 2am...pictures to follow.

and while my family was in baguio for the all saints day weekend, i was left at home with ate (our househelp) because i had to go to work. lucky me edsel was around, so sunday afternoon was spent with him. doing errands for his sister, going to the grocery and eating jollibee for merienda. he had to go home around 6pm though since he had work the next day. the rest of the day/night was spent sleeping...sleeping...and sleeping.

studio 23 had a 24 marathon and this was the first time i actually watched the show. edsel told me that the show was nice but i never really got interested. tuesday morning, i had nothing to do so i watched one episode and that one episode kept me glued that i totally forgot that i had to go to work that night. so with no decent sleep i went to work again tuesday evening. now i can't wait to get a copy of 24 season 2 and 3 and whatever else is available. 168 here i come!

i am now officially enrolled for second semester! i was supose to resign from work and just be a full time student but i decided to have a part time morning schedule at work and it matches my school schedule perfectly! the thing is i will be at work from 6am to 1pm the latest and then i have school from 2:30 to 9:30 pm. this is like everyday except sunday. i officially start hospital rotation in december also. i hope everything works out well. im pretty excited since i saw a lot of friends from my old school enrolling at pchs. they too decided to transfer because of conflict with work schedules.

but i realized that with work and school...how do i get to find time to tutor lea! i guess i would have to tell her mom to look for a new tutor. patay ako! pero hindi na talaga kaya ng powers ko...too bad coz i really would want to continue on tutoring her. not anymore for the extra income but since i know that the kid really needs help. i know i should not compare her to amboy but i can't help but do that. kasi naman medyo slow talaga sya....project lea (parang project embrace) ko pa naman sya. that i get to improve her reading skills at least before she hits 3rd grade. pero how?!?!? want to take over sassa?

next week, i am to start a new work schedule. no more night differential pay for me. good thing here is i will be having the same work schedule with edsel so i could go to work with him everyday and we have the same rest day!yey!

i am hoping to watch flightplan later. most probably at greenhills. this time last year i was in bora with cousins...and i have been dreaming of bora. wish i could go back next year the latest.

im blabbing...i better go back to work! happy weekend!

they blocked friendster, gmail, yahoo mail, and softhome from here sa office. funny nga kasi even the hotmail website which is an msn site has been blocked. good thing i can still access blogger and blogsites. now i'm thinking of having SMART WiFi installed at home. i'm just not sure if it's worth it or if it is even fast talaga and if i'm gonna get my money's worth. maybe i can talk my mom into dropping one of our phonelines and just get signed up for highspeed internet. hehehe.....

168...Again!
i went to 168 last Sunday with mommy and ate peach. with a budget of 1500 in mind i was able to buy 2 capri pants, 2 shirts, if only dvd, one hundred pesos worth of kikay stuff, coloring books and crayons for my team mates and spent only 1,100....im super happy with my buys. and i am definitely coming back! sino gusto sumama?

re-run
thank God for morning and afternoon re-run's of axn, etc and star world tv shows. been watching psi factor,numb3rs,the OC,one tree hill, the apprentice, and tru calling. im such a TV addict. aside from that i i always make sure that i get to watch the live telecast of survivors and AR family. what would i do without television.

40 months and counting....

That's When I Love You

When u have to look away
When u don't have much to say
That's when I love u
I love u just that way
To here u stumble when u speak
Or see u walk with two left feet
That's when I love you
I love u endlessly
And when your mad cause u lost the game
Forget I'm waiting in the rain
Baby I love u
I love u anyway

Cause here's my promise made tonight
U can count on me 4 life
Cause that's when I love u
When nothing u do can change my mind
The more I learn the more I love
The more my heart can't get enough
That's when I love u
When I love u
No matter what

So when u turn to hide your eyes
Cause the movie it made u cry
That's when I love u
I love u
A little more each time
And when u cant quite match you clothes
Or when u laugh at your own jokes
that's when I love u I love u
More then u know
And when u forgot that we had a date
Or that look that u give when u show up late
Baby I love u ,I love u anyway

So here's my promise made tonight
U can count on me 4 life
Cause that's when I love u
When nothing u do can change my moind
The more I learn the more I love
The more my heart cant get enough
That's when I love u
When I love u
No matter what

Ohh that's when I love u when nothing baby, nothing u do could change my mind
The more I learn, the more I love, the more my heart can't get enough
That's when I love u , when I love u no matter what
